Pro-Palestinian protesters cause chaos at Kamala Harris' event with Sophia Bush: Demonstrators scuffle with police and interrupt speech on abortion rights in San Jose

Dozens of protesters calling for a cease fire in the Middle East interrupted Vice President Kamala Harris' event in San Jose on Monday as she attempted to talk about reproductive rights with actress Sophia Bush.

'We want a cease fire now,' the protesters shouted as some waved the flag of Palestine.

The vice president was greeted by dozen of protesters when she arrived at the Mexican Heritage Plaza. San Jose Police got into a scuffle with some outside the event, according to local reports.

'Biden, Harris, you can't hide, we charge you with genocide,' the protesters chanted.

Harris was interrupted at least three times at her event, from the moment she set down until the protesters were escorted out.

'We all want this conflict to end as soon as possible,' she said as protesters shouted.

She tried to talk as security escorted the protesters out. She began to speak again about reproductive rights and was interrupted - again.

'The topic for this discussion is what we need to do to fight back against laws that are criminalizing health care providers and making women suffer,' she said as protesters were removed.

The audience chanted 'four more years' to drown at protesters.

'There are a lot of big issues impacting our world right now,' said Harris. 'The topic for today, here, is the topic of what has happened in our country after the Dobbs decision, which took away the rights of people to make decisions for their own body. We should not be distracted from any important issue.'

The organizers of the protest said reproductive freedom is also an issue for the women of Gaza.

Methinks they are seeking support from people who have nothing in common with them.

These are all preliminaries leading up the democrat convention in Chicago. I live just outside the Chicago metro area, and expect that the local news will just be chock-ful of coverage about the protests during that fun-filled week.

Looking forward to seeing police riots. Maybe there will be a revival of the Chicago 7 trial in the aftermath. Makes you wonder what programs the protestors will bring, what trees will they plant.

I suggest we start filming these protests. If Trump somehow gets past the election fraud those images could be used to hunt down and deport potential terrorists who came here illegally.

I’d love to see any of them spend a week in Gaza. They would learn fast about women’s rights and freedom of speech.
