Then again if you want to travel the universe in style - with your own planet to ride on, harnessing the power of black holes is the way to go.

Theoretically you could shoot a pulse of energy to one side of a black hole which would then bend it around itself and shoot it hugely accelerated back at you. If you had a means of catching it, then your planet would accelerate to a significant part of light speed.

Of course, this only works with a civilization 10s of thousands or millions of years in advance of our own.

Why wouldn’t there be primordial black holes?

If the theory is everything got blown out in the first instant, it doesn’t necessarily mean 100% of everything was equally ‘spaced’. I would think it’s likely that there was significant variation or irregularity

Likely black holes are the Creator’s “tent pegs” that He uses to stabilize the Firmament.

This is not a joke.

If you have ever looked under a microscope you may have wondered why the light had to be so bright on a sample. It is because that intense spot of light gets expanded in the microscope until it looks dim on the spot you are looking at.

When we are looking at distant objects in the universe we are also looking back in time. If we see an object 13 billion lights years away it is on a sphere 13 billion light years in diameter. The problem is that the Universe at that point is not 13 billion light years in diameter. It is less. Like a microscope that object is magnified and therefore looks dimmer and bigger than it really is. This dark energy theorists have created to explain an apparently increasing expansion rate is not needed once you take this magnification effect into consideration.
