Beer sales in the US are expected to plunge to their lowest level since 1999 — largely due to Bud Light’s massive falloff after its disastrous tie-up with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, industry experts said.
Sales declined by more than 5% in the first nine months of the year, dragged down not only by the backlash and boycotts against Anheuser-Busch-owned Bud Light but the changing habits of younger drinkers, according to Beer Marketer’s Insights.
Bud Light sales have steadily declined each month by 25% to 30% since Mulvaney’s now-infamous posts touting the brand on April 1, according to industry data.

They keep calling the Bud Light problem a “boycott” as if activists were sending emails and posting flyers. It’s not a boycott. Consumers have simply been turned off by that annoying pervert and his association with the product. Its that simple. It’s as if a bread company printed images of dog poop on its wrappers. No boycott would be necessary for their sales to plummet. That’s what is happening to Bud Light. The image stuck, and beer drinkers are disgusted by it.
That’s how liberals do things, without passing laws. They’ve mastered the art of manipulation of society through the disgust factor. Just make an activity disgusting to do and people will stop on their own.
Just think of everything that liberals have canceled and you’ll find the disgust factor to be relevant.
I have many friends and relatives that decided never to buy InBev products ever again, myself included.
In fairness, I didn’t think it was drinkable before that.
Beer drinkers will find another brand. If consumption is down, put the blame on the economy and the lack of disposable income, rather than scapegoat the weird little man in a dress.
Not a beer drinker, yet liberals destroy everyting.
It’s not a boycott. it’s a buycott. We’re not going backing regardless of what they do.
It's not too late! Look at the news, see/hear the news, feel the news. There's only so much a person can take! That's where beer comes in.
It's likely that Bud Lite drinkers had a good deal of brand loyalty. When Bud Lite took the fun out of drinking it for a lot of its customers, they had trouble coming back or finding another home. A lot of brand loyalty is just habit. You can lose more weight not drinking beer at than drinking lite beer.
I like my whiskey, yet I’m chronic Tex-Mex ad Korean BBQ. So much doc told me to lay off the food. My sodium is through the roof. I gotta start eating salad .
Now it's only hard seltzer like Truly and White Claw!
I tried beer 50 years ago hated it and haven’t tried since ,but Scotch/Bourbon/Irish yum ,LOL
Kid Rock needs to check himself.
We have enough people against us and our Christian beliefs.

How strange then that the drop in beer sales, and specifically Bud Light, began immediately after the weird man who is pretending to be a woman did his ad for the company. It is not just BL that people stopped drinking, but all of A/B’s products showed a reduction in consumption. And people were very loud and public in their refusal to buy Bud Light. It was such a phenomenon that articles were written on it daily by all news sites.
Yes, the economy has something to do with a drop in beer sales overall, but the fall in A/B products and BL specifically sales began with the mentally ill guy. The economy sucked and inflation was hitting hard prior to then but it was only after April 1 that the sales figures dropped so dramatically.
We are not “scapegoating” someone when the fault points directly to him (and the company for making such a foolish decision in insulting their reliable consumers) for the drop in beer sales.
Of course it tasted terrible. That's not the point. We all love Scotch/Bourbon/Irish whiskies. But that's like loving dessert and missing out on your vegetables. That's not healthy. Beer is full of Vitamin P. You drink enough, you'll see the results right away.
There's a correlation with the increase in legalized marijuana consumption.

Nobody ever drank Bud Light because it is a great beer. They drank it because it represented a lifestyle. It is also cheap and did the job, as they say, like many other mass market beers. Once the lifestyle thing was not just ruined, but completely inverted, why would anybody go back? And say what you will about gays and the other sex-obsessed cults, they do have high standards in food and drink. Why would they drink it?
That bimbo really F’ed it up. Business schools will be talking about this for at least 100 years. We will see if any lessons get learned.
So, you think people would rather take pot than drink beer?
