Gents, you may think this is funny, but I assure you, this man's life is in danger for even joking about this.

[Warning: May induce cardiac arrest in people who like to cook]

AND NOW FOR THE REACTIONS:

Even the people who knew he was trolling them felt deeply unsettled in their souls:

Then there was the AKSHUALLY crowd:

Feel free to chime in below!

I'll be over here giving my cast iron skillet a good scrubbing with some steel wool to get all the black stuff off.

My husband use to wash/scrub mine with soap and water. (He’s OCD.) They’re ruined. I don’t use them any more.

When my sink gets full of dirty dishes, I figure I am seasoning them and let them sit a little longer....

I have zero idea what this is all about. What’s so bad about cleaning an iron pan? Rust?

You gotta be a Yankee! LOL

OK I get it, thanks. I have zero skill in cooking, if I boil water it would turn out burned lol, but I am a master with microwaves

We bought a cast iron Dutch Oven at the Salvation Army Thrift store for $5.

It was rusted all over like it had been sitting outside in the rain for years. It was a mess.

The clerk thought we were going to use it for a flower pot because she thought it could never be useful for cooking again.

We took it home, sanded all the rust off inside and out, then used steel wool and Scotch Brite pads to smooth out the pitted areas.

Put it on the stove and got it very hot and seasoned it with olive oil.

Have been using it for years and years................

Most of the ppl responding on twitter prob never cooked with cast iron.

I did once with the first and only cast Iron pan I ever owned. Then I cleaned it in the dish washer.

Never knew anything could rust so fast.......

Add to that he was gay. Now you have a picture of real drama.

But, after he calmed down, he showed me how to re-season it and if it ever did need cleaning, to use a handful of salt and a damp rag only. All was well..............

Soaking in vinegar will remove rust. If it’s crazy rusty you might need to get more extreme.

If you need to rereason it, here’s the Lodge procedure:

Also worth noting that they say it’s okay to hand wash with soap.

Yep!
The hyper weirdness of people wanting to not wash a cooking pan is really odd.
I blame it on smelly hippies!
