Now they are back to being Imperial Russia.
Expecting Russia to change is like expecting China to change. They are who they are and the rest of the world just has to deal with them on that level.
Maybe when Putin is knocking on the door of Nova Scotia, some of the Putinistas on the board will be a little charmed by Vlad.
He can't prevail over Ukraine, but wants to invade another sovereign nation?
250,000 dead, including 100,000 +- Russians isn't enough, for him?
Expect Mad Vlad's invasion fan boys to arrive soon and bite your ankles.
Full neocon!
Next stop, London
The East Germans should be getting very nervous about now.
Uzbekistan and Russia slapped down the bigmouth - who represented neither.(From an Usbeki paper)
No surprise there...Putin wants it all back!
I don’t think American politics has a direct analog for the speaker who said that. The guy who said that is somewhat important, but more like, say, Ted Cruise. Suppose Ted said, “We plan on annexing Cuba.” That’s not American policy and there would be a lot in the way of doing that just in the American political spectrum. What I gather is going on in Russia is some Russians are trying to be more patriotic and militant than thou. It’s along the lines of, “hey, you can’t arrest me for not supporting the Special Military Operation. I not only support it, I think it hasn’t gone far enough.” Call it a kind of cultural hysteria.
While I agree with Peter Zeihan that Putin is trying to reestablish the Russian/USSR empire, I think that regardless of how Ukraine ends, it will be ten years before they do anything else as stupid. By that time Putin will be dead and someone else will be in charge.
Will we send Uzbekistan a $100 billion?
Inside Russia is some guy by the name of Konstantin Samoilov who runs a pro west, pro CIA, “rules based international order” YouTube channel. He’s basically the Michael Moore of Moscow. Stop consuming outrage propaganda for the dopamine hits.
If the Neocons force Russia to also liberate Uzbekistan, then, as we say in the Arab World, “Tough Shiite”.
38 minute monologue, I think not. Thanks for digesting the key points.
I suspect Kazakhstan is going to have something to say about Russia getting to Uzbekistan. It is 520 miles from the border of Russia to Uzbekistan which is just under the distance across The Ukraine.
.
Right. A Uzbekistan conflict will be more like Afghanistan than Ukraine. Good luck to Putin’s crappy Army.
I’d like to think at some point, those making excuses for Russia would hide in shame. But they have no shame, just like Putin. The Russian support of Hamas should have done it.
Did Uzbekistan try to join NATO? Does it have biolabs? How about support for “homos”? Did they pay Biden money?
No, what they have is an evil pig neighbor named V Putin.
Hold the line against this new Hitler.
Baiting Biden and NeoCons too.
