California-based developer Scot Matteson has revealed updated plans for an impressive building project in Lower Bricktown, Oklahoma City. The new proposal, if realized, would feature a colossal 134-story apartment tower, standing at twice the height of the city’s 50-story Devon Energy Center. The proposed skyscraper would not only transform the city’s skyline dramatically but also serve as an iconic landmark, potentially attracting more investments and developments in the area. Furthermore, the 134-story tower aims to provide luxurious living spaces, along with numerous amenities, offering residents a unique and unrivaled experience in the heart of Oklahoma City.

I wouldn’t want to be in that during a tornado
Nakatomi Plaza ?
This will just add to the 30% of unoccupied office space already out there...
Looks like that was the inspiration — a funnel cloud.
Artist’s conception!
That would blow very much.
That would blow very much.
You wonder if they could make this into several defacto gated communities. Certain residents to specific floors, etc.
Restrict access based on residency, provide amenities, restaraunts, gyms, dry cleaners etc.
As a matter of fact it would double blow.
😄😂🤣
And suck. It would also suck.
**I wouldn’t want to be in that during a tornado**
The song ‘free ride’ comes to mind.
I’d be more concerned with drone tech nowadays.
We have our annual watching of that movie scheduled for Saturday evening.
Because it *is* a Christmas movie. 😁
So it’s a “Build I and They Will Come” project?
I doubt it will attract rich Californians and rich New Yorkers.
Will Floors 2 - 50 be Section 8?
I didn’t know Oklahoma City was such a hotbed for business growth....if not, that tower will suck a lot of other businesses out of other buildings and leave those buildings, well, vacant. That is assuming the rents are competitive, however, the cost of building a structure that tall with Class A amenities for both commercial and residential tenants will require high (highest?) rents to cover cost and a return on investment. Not sure OK City has those economics....my guess it won’t be built any time soon, especially with current national economic headaches as well (i.e., Bidenomics)....my two cents.
It also makes a great and easy target for terrorist-highjacked aircraft, or drones.
There’s no view there.
Tornado bait.
