According to the Supreme Court, Vivek, born on U.S. soil to parents that were here legally & not necessarily citizens, is a Natural Born Citizen (NBC). (United States v. Wong Kim Ark (1898))
For example, at the time the Constitution was written, a child of Indian (feather) parents (non-US citizens) born on U.S. soil would not be a natural born citizen. Nor would a child born to slaves be a natural born U.S. citizen even if born on U.S. soil.
And an argument could be made that the 14th Amendment's citizenship clause of "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" clarifies what "natural born citizen" in Article 2 means. Basically, if we argue that the left's anchor baby philosophy is an incorrect interpretation of the 14th Amendment's citizenship law, then it's tough to argue how anchor baby Vivek could be eligible for President.

Wong Kim Ark was never declared a natural born Citizen. He was declared a Citizen via the 14th Amendment making him a statutory Citizen. If a statute has to make you a Citizen, that’s not natural born.

Although the term NBC wasn’t used in the opinion, presidency not being an issue in the case, the decision of his citizenship was triggered by being born on U.S. soil which seems to define that he was an NBC.
Well applause for questioning the constitutionality of Supreme Court decisions if that’s what you’re doing. You want to study the opinion itself and see if the basis for the decision is a sound application of the Constitution as written and originally understood and intended.
Although they had their share of bad or certainly constitutionally questionable decisions before 1900, the Supreme Court went off the constitutional rails in the 1900’s and beyond. The Ark opinion offered that a key basis for the decision was the original understanding of Natural born citizen (NBC) at the time the Constitution was ratified. The Court seemed to be doing a good-faith effort to apply the Constitution as written and originally understood and intended.
NBC, not defined in the Constitution, is truly subject to the original understand which the Ark Court was attempting to do. People who come across as though NBC is a cut-and-dried issue don’t know what they’re talking about. I mean some things, like Obama who was not born on U.S. soil, are unquestionably not NBC’s. But NBC of those born on U.S. soil can be a debatable subject. I think that based on his native-soil birth and his parents here legally (but not necessarily U.S. citizens) makes Vivek an NBC.
That would be a good thing for those who believe in MAGA as Vivek is the only one on the national stage confronting the Delusional Lying left and confronting the problem of our 80% unconstitutional federal government.
A citizen and natural born Citizen are not the same.
