Except for a couple of things, the 70’s were great. I’d take them over the 20’s so far

The movies were the best, from The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Taxi Driver, Jaws, Outlaw Josey Wales, Chinatown, Blazing Saddles and list could go on and on.
Music? Just the year 1973 was among the best ever- Dark Side of the Moon, Houses of the Holy, Quadrophenia, Raw Power. And many more exceptional albums came out that year.
Most of the cars sucked in the 70's but we still had Chevelles, Camaros, Mustangs, and the Barracuda.
No internet, so we played outside, and read real books. The government didn't spy on U S citizens. The sports heroes were real tough guys-Nolan Ryan, Vida Blue, Thurman Munson, Roger Staubach, Mean Joe Greene, Ken Stabler and O.J. Simpson.
You could smoke on a plane, at school, and at the movie theatre.
A bag of marijuana was $10.00. Pinball arcades were all over. The Farrah Fawcett poster.
