McDonald’s Opening a New Chain Called CosMc’s — Here’s Where to Find It + What They’ll Sell

McDonald's has revealed its futuristic kid sibling: CosMc's. The first of what is expected to be many new stores opens in December to serve anyone looking for a quick energy hit.

McDonald's officially revealed CosMc's in a press release at its website on Wednesday.

The CEO also spoke to media to explain a new beverage-led concept designed to "boost your mood into the stratosphere." The fast-food chain also announced they wanted to add 10,000 namesake stores by 2027.

What Is CosMc's?

CosMc's isn't a restaurant, per se. It's more of a pit stop for a quick sip of something sugary and/or caffeinated. Think Tim Hortons, but with a much more dynamic set of options and more colorful branding. The new chain is really leaning into the universal appeal (dad joke intended):

What Will CosMc's Serve?

The next time you're craving a churro frappé, blueberry ginger boost or popping pear slush, find your local CosMc's. The new chain is beverage-heavy, with coffee-based beverages, lemonades and teas anchoring the menu.

I hope this will change the real original McD’s back to kid-oriented food (which it mostly is anyway) AND “ambiance”. Even Ronald in ANY form is missing these days.

Tired of everything trying to be a hipster-doofus coffee joint. That’s what their new style has been.

anyone looking for a quick energy hit.

So they'll serve Coke in powdered form instead of liquid? That would give everyone a boost of energy.

It's Dunkin' Donuts without donuts.

Coffee for cold weather, iced coffee and foo foo drinks for hot weather. Breakfast sandwiches too.

Dude was a middle aged white guy. Of course he had to be cancelled.

The only thing worthwhile at McDonald’s are their breakfast sandwiches, which you can’t get all-day anymore. They used the lockdown to get rid of their all-day breakfast. At the two McDonald’s near me, it doesn’t matter what you order, you still have to sit and wait, or pull over to the side so someone can bring your order out to you, and even then, there’s a 99% chance your order is wrong. So, I don’t understand why you can’t sit and wait for a breakfast sandwich too. I’ve been retired for 20 years, and have been a night owl all that time, as I worked the 3-11 p.m. shift by choice, and you could never just come home, and go right to bed. I read every night before bedtime, and don’t turn out the light until at least 4 a.m., so there’s no way I’m up before they shut down their breakfast menu. The only time I get to have McDonald breakfast sandwiches these days is if I’m scheduled for a medical procedure which requires me to be up for an early morning appointment...and those are few and far between thankfully.

I’ve read and re-read it and I don’t even see a bad pun attempt there.

This is aimed at the generation(s) that believe cooking is something that ended with Boomers and who will rely on Door Dash and CosMc’s for sustenance. And give thanks to Gaia every day their tiny houses are not cluttered with energy-sucking grandma-killing kitchen apparatus.

Did they even test the concept except for one store in Chicago? They shoulda’ built a few annexes to a preexisting restaurant and a few hole in the wall standalones to test. They should seve small “Inexpensive” burgers also with the custom coffees..
How is CosMC pronounced? Cosmic? CosplayMC?
Adding free wi-fi for one or two hours could be a winning idea also. If there prices aren’t lower and the quality just as good as other bistros it could be a biiiiiiig loss.

I think I know where Ronald McDonald went. Cause just after he disappeared, their food started tasting funny. (Dad joke)
