I am sure there are FREEPERS who, in the course of their work, have had to do background checks. Thank you.
This is but one example of an FR thread that yields a wealth of helpful information, even with only a few dozen replies. I tell you what: As a plebe or prole or peon FR rocks!
BTW, what’s your social credit score? Posting here is likely to put you in the negative. LOL
depends on what state and why, call your Sheriff’s office
at least that’s who does it here
Call the local paper and tell them this guy is running for mayor as a Republican. They’ll publish his crimes and the crimes of his family as far back as the Reformation.
I just found out that the County I am the County Supervisor is telling me that it is $782 for a background check for our Planning and Zoning Commission appointments.
If you were wanting to check on someone who lives in, or ever lived in Missouri you could use Casenet. Free.
However, a TS/SCI background check is clear and costly IF you are asking for security clearance, in that case, cost may range up to 60k.
It is unfortunate in this day and age, but it’s smart. And men should do it on the women as well.
If you just checking on a tenet, catholic, parent, conservative, or ex-girlfriend you just ask an FBI agent. They do it for free all the time.
And of course that is government prices.
I do checks for tenants of our rental property.
$39 for both credit & background checks.

I got a background check in order to obtain a simple secret clearance while serving in the USAF as a non-citizen in 1957. My parents in Europe were visited by the FBI and so was my former parish priest. Today, every swinging d*ck and his dog just crosses our southern border at will.
I feel betrayed.
By chance are you responding to the ATF call for comments on private sales due tomorrow?
I am interested in what service(s) companies use for employment history checks.
I have one previous employer that said I was fired with cause (one employer revealed this but stated they would deny knowing this information).
I told this company I could prove I was laid off and not fired due to collecting unemployment for 2 months (state record).
I also have previous employers whom no longer exist, included my own company. Would like to know how this shows up in searches.
I has know! It is many dollar!
Why be rude?
I’ll bet they stick it to government agencies because they know they have to have them and recommendations usually don’t get scrutinized. Sounds like you are doing your job well.
In the early 80’s I went out with a young lady who worked at a bank. At sabot our 5th date she informed me that she ran a credit check on me and I came back ok. I didn’t ask her out a sixth time. I was working in an aerospace machined shop as a cnc programmer making around 50k a year at the time. all she had to do was ask.
I’ve been the subject of a couple SF86s. Investigators tended to annoy my neighbors. 😎
They dont even bother with Freepers. We go straight to Re-education camp.
