FR is coming close to half my life. Only about a third of mine; yet I'm older than you.

A lot of us just VANISH when we’re called away forever.
Any programmer that could write something that would check for online activity of us freepers, and, when a certain amount of time has passed with us not checking in, then do a search for obituaries using data we’ve supplied?
I know my wive has no clue as how to get on here.
(She just wants to know who my girlfriend is that I spend so much time with!)

Only very few end up on freeper memorial wall.
I have already given Jim my information

Created my first in 2001. Decided it was too personally identifiable if people in my industry saw my posts. Changed in 2003.

My recollection is that at some point around then, Jim changed it so you had to register in order to post so there were a bunch of sign ups then. I recall reading FR back when it was linked from Drudge as “Whitewater File” back in 1996.

It used to be that the account URL would show what number you signed up. I recall mine was somewhere around 250th. But, again, that was when Jim changed the rule and a bunch of us signed up all at the same time. Before that, though, there were a lot of users on FR. Many more than 250.

Signed up in 98. Gained a new name along the way.

Congratulations on 25 years, from a fellow Quarter Century Club member.
So many things have come and gone, FR lives on!
