Rolling Stone led leftist celebrations of Henry Kissinger's death with a brutal headline that labeled him a 'war criminal' and declared 'good riddance' to the 100-year-old statesman.
The outlet published a skewering obituary by Spencer Ackerman last night in which they said Kissinger's legacy should only be his 'confirmed kills'.
'Henry Kissinger, War Criminal Beloved by America’s Ruling Class, Finally Dies,' read the headline.
Ackerman compared Kissinger to domestic terrorist Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber who killed 168 people, and said: 'The infamy of Nixon's foreign-policy architect sits, eternally, beside that of history's worst mass murderers.'
Leftists applauded Rolling Stone on Twitter and the magazine retweeted some of their praise.
Rolling Stone was not alone in its quick condemnation of Kissinger. Ben Rhodes, a senior adviser to Barack Obama, called him a 'hypocrite' in an op-ed for The New York Times, while Huff Po blasted him as 'America's most notorious war criminal.'
The White House is yet to release a statement from President Biden acknowledging Kissinger's death. Former President George W. Bush led tributes to him last night.
There was also vitriol on social media and even cheering on the streets of New York among protesters to the Israel-Hamas war who reacted with jubilation when an organizer announced Kissinger’s death last night.
Greg Swenson, chairman of Republicans Overseas UK, told the BBC it was ‘a bit much’ adding: ‘I’m not defending every one of his policy mistakes, but he was also a major statesman and did a lot of good for the world.
'Remember, this was the Cold War, there were difficult choices…there weren’t a lot of great outcomes possible.’

We did bomb Cambodia in at least one major strike that took out a great deal of the enemy’s oil / fuel production and reserves.

I didn’t think so
Whatever may be done to guard against interruptions of supply and to develop domestic alternatives, the U.S. economy will require large and increasing amounts of minerals from abroad, especially from less developed countries. That fact gives the U.S. enhanced interest in the political, economic, and social stability of the supplying countries. Wherever a lessening of population pressures through reduced birth rates can increase the prospects for such stability, population policy becomes relevant to resource supplies and to the economic interests of the United States.
Louis Farrakhan and others turned this into "depopulation." More here.
” I remember the name “Kissinger” but don’t remember what he did. A short history lesson please. “
He was a minion of Satan.
Kissinger was very tight with Jesse Helms. Kinda shocked me.
hate when people talk about things they know nothing about,....this part of history is way to complex for you...sorry, but it is.
He also left over 600 KNOWN POW’s and considered them “Acceptable numbers” as per his meeting with the NV. Spinless weasel.
China stunned the world with their nuclear detonation in 1964....no one could believe such an isolated country could pull off such a technical acheivement. I mean, some of their infantry were still on horse back. It was only a matter of time until they started making real advancements militarily...Nixon and Kissinger understood this....you simply just cant ignore a country of over a billion people that are now nuclear armed.
Consider the source.
I guess these lefties were fine with Robert McNamara? One of JFK’s “best and brightest” — gag.
“Did he ever have a real job in his life?”
“Sergeant” is a job...
A military position is a vocation, not a job!
Lo, how compassionate and sensitive are our Woke betters.
