Neither the United States nor its space agency NASA have so far commented on the AI analysis that questioned the Moon Landing by the American astronauts.
[Google AI anslysis found that the U.S. Moon photos are fake, but thought images captured by Chines lunar rover are fine.]
Moscow: The analysis of some of the photos and images of the U.S. astronauts landing on the Moon using neural networks showed they are fake, Vladimir Putin was told at “Artificial Intelligence World Tour" in Moscow, and the Russian President found it interesting.
The video of the analysis result and conversation of the Russian President with the Data Research Department of Sberbank, Nikolai Gerasimhen, at the Moscow AI event is now viral.
“It (neural networks) thinks almost everything in this photo is fake”, Gerasimhen is heard explaining to Putin in the video shared by the Russian news agency, Sputnik, which is now being widely shared on different social media platforms.
At the same time the AI analysis did not find any fault with the photos captured by Chinese lunar rover.
“Meanwhile it (the AI analysis) raises no particular questions about this photo taken by a Chinese lunar rover”, Putin is told.
China's unmanned lunar mission named Chang’e is a series of lunar probes launched by the China National Space Administration starting with the launch of Chang’e 1 in October 2007.
“It believes this one is fake?” Putin is seen in the video first touching the wing of his nose and then asking after a brief pause while pointing at the Apollo 11 images displayed on a screen.
“Yes. Look this is red", Putin was told.
Sberbank President German Gref who is seen accompanying Putin in the video then said, "This is what Google’s neural network thinks, not our analysis…”

The problem is that if you look at the wide range of photography and the quality it is just not feasible for astronauts (who have many other critical tasks to attend to) to make it happen.
This is not “passive photography”. One problem is that the astronaut gloves have very little dexterity to deal with tiny camera controls over lighting, direction etc.
The book I cited gets into the challenges of the Kodak cameras used—Kodak did everything they could to make it work but at the end of the day their experts knew that mediocre photos were the best could be hoped for—and there was a strong chance that many rolls of film would be damaged by radiation and temperature issues.
The large quantity of professional level clean pictures are not credible imho.
???
The Mormons believe Quakers live on the Moon 🌝! Why not their dogs too?!
Know a good man from Russia, that’s their dog’s name.
This is another example of AI not really being “intelligent” but rather, it regurgitates the info programmed into it in a manner desired by the [leftist] programmers.
Or, in the case of AI, garbage in, gospel out.
I don’t think I would trust a “Kodak Technician” who didn’t know that the cameras on the moon missions were Hasselblads, not Kodak. Kodak made the film.
The film was kinda important—lol.
Why are you citeing a book that doesn’t know that the cameras were Hasselblads, not Kodak???
How can anything else in the book be believed if they got such a basic fact wrong?
I was there for every second of the space program and followed it all in amazement.
Exactly. That’s what I’m talkin’ about! :)
Where’s Alice Kramden?
Right you are. ALSO, Apollo 15 proved that a hammer and a feather DO drop at the same speed in a vacuum. Proved Galileo right.

You’re just totally wrong. The controls were NOT tiny. They were enlarged to deal with the gloves. Why would gloves interfere with “direction” as you say.You just point the camera in the direction you want to shoot.
How did the White House get in Biden’s basement?
Are we sure the flag is actually there?
The film was kinda important—lol.

You were complaining about the cameras, not the film. Don’t try to deflect. LOL
Have you? 🙂
