Neither the United States nor its space agency NASA have so far commented on the AI analysis that questioned the Moon Landing by the American astronauts.
[Google AI anslysis found that the U.S. Moon photos are fake, but thought images captured by Chines lunar rover are fine.]
Moscow: The analysis of some of the photos and images of the U.S. astronauts landing on the Moon using neural networks showed they are fake, Vladimir Putin was told at “Artificial Intelligence World Tour" in Moscow, and the Russian President found it interesting.
The video of the analysis result and conversation of the Russian President with the Data Research Department of Sberbank, Nikolai Gerasimhen, at the Moscow AI event is now viral.
“It (neural networks) thinks almost everything in this photo is fake”, Gerasimhen is heard explaining to Putin in the video shared by the Russian news agency, Sputnik, which is now being widely shared on different social media platforms.
At the same time the AI analysis did not find any fault with the photos captured by Chinese lunar rover.
“Meanwhile it (the AI analysis) raises no particular questions about this photo taken by a Chinese lunar rover”, Putin is told.
China's unmanned lunar mission named Chang’e is a series of lunar probes launched by the China National Space Administration starting with the launch of Chang’e 1 in October 2007.
“It believes this one is fake?” Putin is seen in the video first touching the wing of his nose and then asking after a brief pause while pointing at the Apollo 11 images displayed on a screen.
“Yes. Look this is red", Putin was told.
Sberbank President German Gref who is seen accompanying Putin in the video then said, "This is what Google’s neural network thinks, not our analysis…”

It takes a special kind of stupid to think we had the technical ability to fake the entire Apollo program and the moon landings.
Only a full on retard would even entertain the possibility.
My buddy and I went to that at least twice. It was a blast. I don’t know if they have it anymore either. If they do, one would probably get fragged in the neighborhood it was near.
Nicely put.
There are so many logic “choke points” it is astonishing, it really boggles the mind to think otherwise reasonably intelligent people can show themselves to be so insistent on this despite proof.
Part of my growing up or maturation was coming to the realization that otherwise seemingly nicely dressed, well-spoken and “reasonable” people don’t necessarily always hold sane viewpoints.
Wasn’t Armstrong once offered $ 5000 to swear on a bible that he walked on the moon and he refused to do it ?
Oh dear, Jan ... Apparently, you’ve never heard of the Apollo “Primary Guidance Navigation and Control System”, which included an inertial measurement unit, a star tracker, and guess what Sparky? The Apollo Guidance COMPUTER.
“Jan Sobieski” doesn’t know what she’s talking about, adamantly refuses to accept education, and continues to regurgitate falsehoods.
She’s a troll, and this thread is just more of her trolling.
Personally, I don’t regard as worthwhile or truthful anything she says on any topic whatsoever.
Yep
Okay then, it’s the LRO...Excuuuuse me! So, what’s not to believe?
AI is dependent on its coders.
The Sci-Fi series is about an AI dependent society when the AI fails.
“No, it’s my understanding no earth bound telescope has a high enough resolution to discern details that fine.”
To rephrase it, “If somebody did have a powerful enough telescope then perhaps they’d be able to see the evidence of our NASA Apollo missions to the moon and back through it.
The Apollo 11 mission was the first moon landing. By the time Apollo 13 rolled around, the networks weren’t even doing live coverage of the mission.
It didn’t take a rocket scientist (pun intended) to figure out that manned missions to the moon and other planets was a pointless exercise with no commercial applications that would make them feasible. Even today, a manned mission to Mars would be as practical as another silly ascent to the summit of Mount Everest.
By the 1980s, NASA had ditched interplanetary travel in favor of orbital applications like satellite deployments and manned space shuttle missions — which were far more practical, promising and commercially viable than a manned mission to Mars.
You are correct. I think the Kodak was used for some closeups. Were def not used for all the famous images.
Yes. It was certainly in a bad neighborhood.
You cam early in the morning to find a parking space.
Exactly.
No. The power of the telescope doesn’t factor, the problem is the atmosphere, I expect.
What I’d like to know, since there are independently obtained photographs of the landing sites taken from lunar orbit, what are the Apollo deniers saying about that?
Are those fake too? Japan is in on the hoax?
“ … manned missions to the moon and other planets are a pointless exercise with no commercial applications that would make them feasible.”
Of course!
(That heavier than air flight stuff will never catch on, either. If man was meant to fly, he’d have wings!!)
So, we’re down to Kennedy and Clinton???
