Soon after boarding an international flight earlier this month, an expectant mother was forced to totally wing it when she unexpectedly went into labor and gave birth aboard the aircraft.
“Yay!” cheered applauding passengers on a Pegasus Airlines plane set to fly from Istanbul to Marseille, France, as paramedics at the Sabiha Gökçen International Airport marched onto the sky bus to assist the unidentified woman, who’d welcomed her child moments before takeoff.
Footage of the high-octane event showed awestricken flyers craning their necks for a glimpse of the impromptu birth. One big-hearted passenger is seen collecting what appears to be baby clothes from other travelers as a gift to mother and child. According to reports, the pregnant woman began experiencing intense labor pains as the flight crew made final preparations for takeoff.

Kids in lap, under 2, fly free.....
That will make for an interesting birth certificate.
I don’t care how hot the mom is, I would not hawk because there is nothing sexy about giving birth. When I was in my early 20s my wife’s boss wanted everyone to watch her birthing video and I wanted nothing, and I mean nothing, to do with watching it. When my own kids were born it was a deeply moving experience but nothing I would want to watch anyone else do.
I hope everything worked out for the mother and child.
One of those times when personal modesty takes a far back seat.
Does France provide citizenship for any baby born on French soil? Since only an idiot would go on an international flight while just about to give birth, I have to guess there was a motive.
Did they call in Patroni to deliver the baby?
“It’s getting that they don’t call them emergencies any more, the call them “Patroni’s.”.
My g-great grandmother gave birth to a distant uncle on board ship while crossing the Atlantic in about 1875.
Ma’am, that’ll cost you extra for hiding a child.
Classless.
Gawking is just rude. Give the woman some privacy.
And besides, they let someone that far along in a pregnancy fly??????
Ha ha.

My first thought. Why would you get on a plane an about to give birth.
Maybe they thought it was better than the inflight movie, Sack Lunch.
I remember reading about a woman who gave birth in the elevator going up to the maternity ward. Some people on the elevator helped her deliver the baby.
When she got out of the elevator, the staff told her not to be embarrassed, that they had seen worse. Just last year some woman gave birth in the middle of the parking lot. Now THAT was a sight. People are still talking about it.
She wailed, “I know !!!! That was me !!!”
But if the destination was a Woke country (or passengers were), identifying the baby as male or female could be censored.
The article does not indicate the nationality of the woman. But she never left Turkey as the incident happened while they were still on the ground.
Surprised she wasn’t on her way to the US.
A precursor to “Tommy,” The Who had a song about a girl born on plane that was soon to crash. This turned out better.
