On Monday, Nov. 27, look east in the evening to see the full "Beaver Moon" rise into the sky.
... at 4:16 a.m. EST on Nov. 27 — and will rise in the east at dusk, shining all night and setting in the west at dawn. To the casual stargazer, the moon will also appear full the night before and after...
The best time to see any phase of the moon — and particularly the full moon — is at moonrise and moonset. When the moon is very low on the horizon, viewers on Earth see it through a lot of atmosphere, which scatters short-wavelength blue light but enables reddish longer wavelength light to pass through. This produces some beautiful colors on the lunar surface, notably orange, pink and yellow — similar to what happens to the sun during sunrise and sunset.

full “Beaver Moon” At 4:16 AM, I’ll set my alarm to view a full “Beaver Moon”………
Nice beaver moon!
Full Beaver Moon
Is that when ya get the pantie-less too-short-skirt view when the wind blows?
“...thank you. I just had it stuffed”
It’s a fur piece across the beaver moon.
M.O.O.N spells Full Beaver.
Ah’m jes here for de comments. FR never fails to provide appropriately juvenile humor in such situations. :-)
I thought they all got Brazilians today.
Cue Primus...
Won’t see Beaver Moon in Connecticut tonight due to an oncoming rainstorm (already cloudy at 11am). However, could see it tomorrow night (Monday).
The moon will only be about 2 degrees southeast of the Pleiades, but 22 degrees southwest of Jupiter. Look through binoculars or a small telescope to the left and slightly above the moon to see them. Unaided they may be difficult to see next to the bright moon.
And yes, the comically named planet is about two thirds of the way between Jupiter and the moon, shining dimly at 6th magnitude, no competition of -3 magnitude Jupiter who is about 2400 times brighter.
bttt
When I was a kid, “full beaver” didn’t have an astronomical connotation, though it was considered an interesting sight.

That’s how some of us long beards keep our sanity!😎
“I said Beaver Moon of Kentucky, keep on a-shining
Shine on the one that’s gone and left me blue.
