Alex Jones often says he was the last REAL president in the sense that they could (back then) actually run things, make decisions/appointments, decide policy etc.
Since that fateful day his thesis is that all the presidents have been puppets. Every one of them with the possible exception of Trump who they used impeachment (twice!) / conviction to keep in line.
Is there any truth to this do you think?
His brains would have been on the floor before he could have gotten the second sentence out.
He was corrupt, a horrible president and an all around jerk but he was his own man.
It was just that the man was a real piece of work.
well. ‘real’ Presidents (and Kings) through out history have often received the point of a sword or a bullet in more recent times. it’s a very good indicator.
of course, the last President in the US to receive a bullet was the Great RR. and he was definitely a real president.
What did he accomplish?
1. Tax breaks
2. Bay of Pigs
3. Cuban Missle Crisis
4. Banged Marilyn Monroe and lots of other pretty gals
5. Got MM bumped off
6. Got assassinated by the commies
7. His acolytes created the ridiculous “Camelot” myth
No one wants to talk about that.
I’m a huge admirer of RR but the debt and spending explosion started back then and has just continued regardless who is president
It makes you wonder
>> [JFK] was the last REAL president in the sense that they could (back then) actually run things, make decisions/appointments, decide policy etc.
If he was the last REAL president, who could actually run things, how then did his own CIA, who worked for HIM, accomplish his assassination?
From George Bush on the spending has gone unchecked and hit great heights. Too many wars and bad economic policy decisions and now a day of reckoning has arrived. No road left to kick the can down!
A economist I was following a few years back predicted that our Debt would hit $40 Trillion under Biden and it’s looking like it.
Absolutely I’ll contribute in a minute
humm. the last President according to my studies, who really had a handle on the budget, was probably Silent Cal. but Hoover/FDR and the great depression followed by WWII sent fiscal responsiblity down the drain. i’ve read that, of all people in recent US history, Clinton had a nearly balanced budget, basically inheriting the momentum of great economy given to us by RR, the last great world leader and President, imho. things have certainly gone to hell in a hand-basket since Bush II.
Haha that’s a good question.
It’s just a theory. I’m not saying he was a GOOD president or accomplished anything just that since then its not been the same...
Perhaps, since Eisenhower as another Freeper said who did warn publicly about the MIC
We had a brilliant thread on Coolidge the other day I’m just going to read it again
>> things have certainly gone to hell in a hand-basket since Bush II
...but it started with Bush I, who totally failed to steward the Great America that Ronald Reagan left him.
Did bang Monroe and when he looked at me, I looked to him like the next one. Jackie was there and gave me such a look. I was 18, working at the National Convention for famous photographer Stanley Tretick, getting names of people he shot.. Jackie let Stan take wonderful pictures of her and the kids at their homes, published in book, A Very Special President.
Indeed, JFK was a player.
please post link if you find it.
Reagan was real. So was Trump. But for Reagan, they had Bush there to watch him. Every president has had a JFK suspect or Warren Commission member as veep, or as CIA head.

You forgot that one.
RE: last real president....
I am more and more of the opinion that Joe Biden is going to be 100% cgi soon. No more embarrassing “gaffes” such as total disorientation, goofy speech remarks and probably 1-2 hours of staged “work” followed by seclusion and a “lid”.
Biden 2.0 will be muscular, have incredible endurance, have a gift of witty repartee and one liners and a charm that won’t quit.

It’s amazing isn’t it.
They seem to have a tight grip on things I think.
There’s no other explanation.
And if/when Trump gets in again it could get interesting historically speaking...
