Comedic actor and outspoken Israel supporter Jon Lovitz went on a tear against Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and members of the Democratic "Squad" for their opposition to the Jewish State.
Lovitz, who is Jewish, declared Sanders the "best example" of a "self-loathing Jew," calling him "disgusting," and mocked how the senator describes himself as a "Democratic Socialist" versus being a communist.
"That's like asking me, ‘Are you Christian?’ 'No, no, I'm a Jew for Jesus.' Well, that's what it is," Lovitz told Fox News Digital in an interview. "You know the difference between a communist and a Democratic Socialist? A Democratic Socialist is somebody you vote for, and then they take all your money and give back what they think you need. A communist- they just appoint themselves. There's no election and they do the exact same thing. That's the only difference."
"And [Sanders is] saying, you know, we shouldn't have money for, you know, fund Israel, you know, and the Squad, those people… It's no secret they're horribly antisemitic," he said.

I've always respected him for that as well. His comic persona was usually playing someone who was somewhat of a jerk, but offstage he always impressed me as being a pretty decent person.
A local guy met her out on the coast, once. Her boyfriend was golfing at Bandon Dunes, and she went for a drive. This guy had been fishing on the rocks, and was sweating after climbing the trail back up to the road, holding a stringer of fish, and when he got there...Morgan Fairchild was waiting. He said it wasn’t the first impression he’d have hoped to make.
I don't think he is a conservative. He is just one of the few liberals left who can have a rational conversation without being entirely insane. He is a classic liberal, not a far left-wing radical America hating socialist like most of the rest of the democrat party today.
Bill Maher is another. I disagree with both of them on more issues than I agree, but would be happy to have either over for dinner.

Plus, I find him distasteful as a person.
But I readily concede I could be wrong about Lovitz. I thought I had heard some time back that he was a conservative.
I really used to like The Critic, with Jon Lovitz as the voice of Jay Sherman. Never saw him on SNL, as that was after I had quit watching that show.
Jon and Roseanne need to do a pro-Israel podcast.
Saw Schneider at the Funnybone a few months ago. Very conservative & we got a side table against the wall where the comedians walk to/from the stage and he stopped and thanked us for coming.
