American company Pizza Hut has teamed up with a century-old Hong Kong restaurant to put a modern spin on a traditional dish, or more simply, snake on a pizza.

The new offering combines shredded snake meat, black mushrooms and Chinese dried ham – all indispensable ingredients of an authentic snake stew and part of the Hong Kong franchise’s marketing plot to generate buzz online.

In Beijing 21 years ago I saw the market and they eat scorpions and tarantulas too.
They eat everything.
The pet market was only one block from the meat market.
This is a big “so what” thing.

I worked in Hong Kong 33 years ago. Ate at a Pizza Hut, and had pizza with corn kernel topping.

“I’ve tried rattlesnake”

Me too but I was stoned out of my mind at the Suwannee River Folk Festival circa 1970. 😏

Whew. What a relief. For a minute there I was worried that pineapple was going to be one of the ingredients.

Pizza is not pixxa without anchovies. I would welcome the snake too but prefer snake deep fried.
