American company Pizza Hut has teamed up with a century-old Hong Kong restaurant to put a modern spin on a traditional dish, or more simply, snake on a pizza.
The new offering combines shredded snake meat, black mushrooms and Chinese dried ham – all indispensable ingredients of an authentic snake stew and part of the Hong Kong franchise’s marketing plot to generate buzz online.
Some diners in Hong Kong and around southern China have long enjoyed snake stew, especially during the colder months.

In Beijing 21 years ago I saw the market and they eat scorpions and tarantulas too.
They eat everything.
The pet market was only one block from the meat market.
This is a big “so what” thing.
I worked in Hong Kong 33 years ago. Ate at a Pizza Hut, and had pizza with corn kernel topping.

Whew. What a relief. For a minute there I was worried that pineapple was going to be one of the ingredients.
Peperoni, anchovies and pineapple.
Yum, yum. Eat um up!
Anchovies, for me! Mmmmmmm.
Pizza is not pixxa without anchovies. I would welcome the snake too but prefer snake deep fried.
