Armed homeowner who defended home in shootout unloads on liberal politicians: 'not gonna care'

A concealed carry holder in Los Angeles who was forced to defend himself and his family in a terrifying shootout at his front door is demanding LA leaders prosecute criminals terrorizing law-abiding residents.

"Every single person that I know has gotten stuck up," LA entrepreneur Vince Ricci told Fox News Digital this week. "It’s not normal."

Ricci said he was returning to his gated Los Angeles home Saturday evening after hitting the gym when two armed men jumped his fence and tried to force their way into his home.

"Out of nowhere, boom, I had a gun to my back. And there was another guy running up at the same time and I couldn't really make out what he was saying," Ricci said recounting the terrifying incident.

The attempted home invasion unfolded just before 7:30 pm, when Ricci’s wife, her friend and the family’s nanny were inside the home cooking dinner and putting Ricci’s nearly 5-month-old daughter to bed.

Security footage captured the entire frightening scene and has since racked up thousands of views on social media.

The Los Angeles entrepreneur said he was leisurely walking to his front door while listening to an audiobook that had captivated his attention when he noticed the men approaching him.

The video shows Ricci holding a cup of hot tea while digging out his keys from his pocket before a man wearing a hoodie and aiming a gun ran up to the homeowner. Ricci, who noted his tea was too hot to drink at the time, is seen walloping the man in the face with the beverage before pulling out his own firearm.

"It was burning my hand and I couldn't wait to go into the house and put honey in the tea so I could drink it," the homeowner said.

When practicing, practice point firing, no sights. Recognize that in defensive shoot situation, you are not going to be firing from 50 feet using your sights. Acclimate yourself to getting rounds on target as fast as you can.

I pretty much just practice point shooting. I figure that in a crisis situation, I’ll be so focused on the threat, I won’t see the sights and maybe even the gun itself. If the baddie is so far away that Is d have to use the sights, then most likely the use of deadly force may not be warranted

Exactly- which is why it was amazing g th a t Kyle Rittenhouse was able to defend himself with such accuracy while running and swinging around at people running at him looking to murder him. He handled the gun well in such an adrenaline soaked fight for his life.

These animals do not go to the range for target practice. It’s amazing that they do not pull this crap in the rural south. I wonder why?

“...A concealed carry holder in Los Angeles.”

I was also struck by this - concealed carry is almost impossible to get in anti-gun California and I’m wondering how he got one.

That said, the criminal-loving DA Gascon won’t do a thing about it if the criminals are caught, they’ll be released immediately on “no cash bail.”

"He also said only a few cops care."

In Traitorcrat-controlled cities they are not allowed to care, unless the victim is one of their own.

Even if the police were to arrest armed criminals and obtain the evidence, Soros-installed Traitorcrat DAs will not prosecute, and Traitorcrat judges will let the criminals go with no bail.

The ROE are: shoot to wound.

There is no such thing as "shoot to wound", except in Hollywood movies.

In a practical situation, you might "shoot to stop", meaning if they run away or surrender, you can stop shooting them. Otherwise, you keep shooting until they fall down and drop their weapon.

In a situation without rule of law (WROL), you shoot until the attacker is dead.

One or two days of "shoot-to-kill" would stop casual migration. But remember, the cartels are heavily armed, better so than the Mexican army in many cases. They will be shooting back.

It will take a 100-mile free-fire zone south of the Mexican border to control the cartels and secure the southern border. Our current rulers have no intention of doing that. They want to replace the American population with an obedient third-world peasantry.

Are they ever in for a surprise.

The mantra is “I was in fear for my life”. When the coppers eventually show up say that repeatedly.

Even in CaCaLand you can get away with that.

I prefer my underbarrel chupacabra launcher. Ammo’s a little hard to come by.

And you would be correct. Smart to practice point shooting.

“ they didn’t even pickup the shell casings.” That’s good news. You can reload the shell casings with primers, powder and bullet. Ready to go again.

Police were just saving him money. The price of ammo is just thru the roof these days.
