JonPreston: "I'll challenge you with mockery and ridicule because that's what warmongers like you deserve."

Right, because you have no facts, no reasons, no logic, no serious arguments to make, all you have are just ridiculous insults and mockery.

Anyone can see it, it is what it is.

because you have no facts

My facts are pointing to the warmongers - Biden and Zelensky - you stand alongside.

JonPreston: "Robert Stinnett disagrees.
See his book above.
His father was Admiral Stinnett, the ranking officer at Pearl Harbor.
See his book above."

You have not read Stinnett's book and you have no clue what he really said.
I have his book here in my hands now, I read & studied it years ago and marked it up with highlights & notes.
Much of what Stinnett wrote is not disputed or controversial, but Stinnett's claims that FDR himself knew the exact time and place of the attack at Pearl Harbor, such claims are not convincing or confirmed by actual documents.

The facts remain that Japanese leaders intended to conquer a Pacific empire and to do that they needed to defeat US and British Navy and ground forces in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore and, beginning in 1940, Pearl Harbor.
Japanese planning to attack Pearl Harbor began soon after FDR moved the fleet from San Diego and the exact timing for the attack was arguably as much military as diplomatic decision.

I read it and still reference the intercepted Japanese dispatches, but nice try.

Like I said, much of Stinnett's book is simply non-controversial history.
What is highly disputed is Stinnett's claim that FDR knew in advance of the exact time and place of Japan's attack.

Nothing Stinnett presented established that claim as a fact.

Someone not eager to enter the war would have ordered the fleet to sea upon receipt of those intercepted dispatches, but you go ahead and stick with the government story. It’s where you’re comfortable.

The war will be over only with a Ukraine Victory! Hero Ukraine will defeat Ruzzian sub human rabble. They will soon push into Ruzzian occupied lands as the enslaved Ukrainians rise up in rebellion to join arms with Zelenskyy’s army of freedom. Ruzzian Orks have no chance as they will do what Ruzzians always do—Fall back in panic, leaving their dead behind—to fertilize the rich Ukrainian soil. Victory by New Year’s day as Crimeia falls to the hero-army of democracy! Send more Billions. Send Ukraine money and they will save Europe from Ruzzian slavey.

Senior officials and Zelenskyy advisors, former and present, are now talking openly about his removal from power to pave the way for peace negotiations with Russia. Zelenskyy has achieved none of his objectives and looks increasingly delusional in the face of certain defeat.— Kim Dotcom (@KimDotcom) November 13, 2023

My dad served in Hawaii during WWII and when I was a young boy he taught me a version of Pearl Harbor similar to Stinnett's and I believed him.
The problem is there's no real evidence that FDR or anybody else in Washington, DC, knew of the time or place of the coming Japanese attack.

Of course, everyone knew something was up, and that's why the CNO (Stark) sent out a "War Warning" on November 27, 1941, to CincPac (Kimmel) and CincAF (Hart) with CNO's best guesses as to where the Japanese might strike.
Washington did not think Hawaii was most likely.
Turns out, Stark was right to expect attacks at many other locations around the Pacific, but he missed seeing the very first attack.

By the way, the only reference I can find to your "Admiral Stinnett" says it's Robert Stinnett himself, even though his biographical information does not tell us his WWII Navy rank and he was only 18 in 1942, so impossible to have been an admiral during the war.
Possibly he rose to Admiral after WWII?

The US Navy admiral in charge at Pearl Harbor in 1941 was named Husband Kimmel.
Naturally, Kimmel believed he had been scapegoated for intelligence failures at much higher levels in Washington, DC and Stark was soon after relieved of his CNO job.

However, ironically, it turned out that the best place for the US fleet to be on Sunday morning, December 7, 1941, was anchored in the shallow waters of Pearl Harbor, with most of the men & officers ashore, where almost all of the damage could be rather quickly repaired and those old battle-wagons soon sent back into the fight.
And fortunately, our aircraft carriers were safe, hundreds or thousands of miles away.

As for FDR's eagerness for war, that's undoubtedly true, but what FDR wanted was war against Nazi Germany, to help out our friends in Britain and France.
Japan was a side show as far as FDR was concerned.
Nevertheless, there's no doubt FDR was, we could say, "crusin' for a bruisin'" with Japan.
What's never been proved is that FDR or anybody else in Washington knew in advance of the time and place of Japan's first big attack against us.

JonPreston quoting: "Senior officials and Zelenskyy advisors, former and present, are now talking openly about his removal from power to pave the way for peace negotiations with Russia.

Sounds like Russian propaganda to me.
Since 1991 Ukrainians have constitutionally elected six different presidents.
Only one, Leonid Kuchma in 1999, was ever reelected so, when Zelenskyy's term expires in 2024, it would not be unusual for Ukrainians to elect a new president.

However, setting aside Russian and Left-wing hit pieces, all information I've seen from Ukraine itself suggests Zelenskyy is more than popular enough to get reelected.

It's unknown if Ukraine's war-time Marshall Law can be lifted enough to allow for elections in 2024, or should Ukrainians wait until NATO and EU leaders seem more determined to impose a settlement before electing a more accommodating (read "submissive") president.

Time will tell.

JonPreston on Zelenskyy's popularity: "Link please. Any link at all."

A bing AI query produced these results:

Here is a link with similar numbers.

Whether those numbers remain as high in November 2023 as in February I personally doubt, but exactly where they stand I've not seen.

Setting aside Russian propaganda and Left Wing media hit pieces, so far as I can tell, Ukrainians still support their elected president.
