In a recent interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis clarified his position on former President Donald Trump’s potential nomination as the Republican Party’s choice for the 2024 Presidential elections, in light of ongoing legal investigations.
The conversation was prompted by host Willie Geist, who asked DeSantis about an earlier event in which all the GOP candidates, including DeSantis, were asked if they would support Trump even if he were to be convicted in court.

That does it. RDS is dead to me. I had previously said I’d support him for 2028 but not now. FURDS.
This is another example why there is no scenario where I would never vote for DeSantis.
LMAO x 10.
F DeSantis! He knows damn well that there is a witch hunt by the RAT weaponized DOJ, to prevent Trump from running, yet he falls in with the RATS. Thankfully he’s shown his true colors, that we know what a scum bag he is.
It has always been my belief that everyone running was assuming Trump would be forced to drop out at some point because of these cases.
There was never a chance of any of them actually beating Trump in the primary.
There is nothing else to know about DeSantos...What a rat!
He let the dimmocraps corner Trump and “hold him down”. THEN he punched him, like any punk gang leader. He wouldn’t dare take Trump on like a man.
What site do you desantis supporters/nevertrumpers get your talking points from
When, within a relatively short period of time, several of you start spouting off the same talking points, you must be visting and getting orders from the same place.
That said...
Get desanctimonious to drop out of the race and shut up, then people will stop talking about desantis.
It’s as simple as that....
Just tell me where I can get my Guacamole Bowl with free gift of boot lifts.
That's why he'll never drop out before the convention.
In the end, I still think most people vote for the person. Some will hold their nose and vote for someone they don’t like or trust just because of the policies the promise, but I think more would write-in, or just stay home and not vote.
If I lived in FL I’d happily vote for RDS for governor as long as he’s eligible. I think he got bad advice to run for Potus and has followed with bad instincts of his own.
I’m not a fan of political polls but I think the gap between Trump and RDS is an accurate estimate.
I totally agree. DeSantis could have at least said something neutral, like “If Trump is convicted, I will leave it up to the voters to decide if he should be our nominee.”
But DeSantis couldn’t even say that.
Meanwhile, Biden is in some hot water. How many Democrats are saying, “If Joe Biden is convicted of a crime, he should not be our nominee.”
The answer is none. They would get angry if you even bring the subject up.
Wow. At one time I thought highly of DeSantis and would have likely voted for him in 2028. Now, not so much.
Was his statement made on “opposite-day”?
He should have stayed out of the race and zealously supported Trump from his governorship’s bully pulpit.. Especially regarding the the witch hunts.
He should have had Florida state police keeping feds away from Mara-logo.
But instead he chose to go for the brass ring and destroyed his career in the process.
Hey dummie, you will be next, count on it
Some people don’t know how to read the room. DeSantis is hoping he is the last man standing after a Trump conviction.
Rhonda Santis sounds more like Jethro Bush by the day.
Please clap.
From hero to less than zero in a few short years.
The pledge was to support whoever the nominee is. The end. Why does everything have to be smoke and mirrors with Trump worship?
Funny how you all obsess nonstop on DeSantis. It’s almost as if you all feel that the polls are possibly completely bogus this far off from the first primary.
Trump is the who hired on a who’s who of entrenched deep state all stars, not DeSantis. Trump is the one gaffing up on world leaders, what city he’s in, calling people who believed Mexico would pay for the wall losers, while DeSantis eloquently lays out his vision at every opportunity.
