In the end, I still think most people vote for the person. Some will hold their nose and vote for someone they don’t like or trust just because of the policies the promise, but I think more would write-in, or just stay home and not vote.
If I lived in FL I’d happily vote for RDS for governor as long as he’s eligible. I think he got bad advice to run for Potus and has followed with bad instincts of his own.
I’m not a fan of political polls but I think the gap between Trump and RDS is an accurate estimate.
I do think he has bern great for Fl and if I was resident I would vote for him. I do agree he made a bad call going for potus so soon. 4 to 8 years and he might have run away with it. But now he has damaged his brand.
