Oh no I thought you’d be off for a nice long weekend. Oh, but it’s that Black Friday big sale day, isn’t it? I don’t follow it much as I don’t shop. Are you off on the weekend at all? I hope so.
Well, good thing you don’t have to squeeze in a bunch of cooking on your one day off! Enjoy the day with Lauren and the grands.

Make sure they are really large. I know a person who gave her dog a knuckle bone and he choked to death on it.
It was going US towards Canada.
They are quite large - they gnaw on them for hours. Mike says it’s why they have such nice teeth. Lol I take his word for it - I don’t pay that much attention to them. They are nice dogs though.

Since Grandma and I are now officially (By order of our eldest daughter) the GREAT Grand Parents, this year we are invited to HER house as honored guests for the Family Thanksgiving Dinner that is being prepared by her with the help of her daughters.
Grandma’s pretty shocked by this but I’m sure she will get over it. She will probably manage to spend most of the day cooking anyway.
Me? I’m just going to go, eat as much as I want, take a nap whenever the spirit moves me in between bouts of energizing the great grandkids and very subtly laugh my backside off watching the girls’ hubbys running in all directions to get that last minute “stuff” for the feed that I used to chase half the day.
Might even be able to watch an entire football game for the first time in 50 some years....
(Speaking of which, GO NAVY...BEAT ARMY)

oh how awful! How sad for both the dog and the owner. They were trying to do something nice for the dog

well I like to eat, so that’s where it started. lol
I learned to bake bread at our cabin at 7200 feet. the low pressure up there made bread rise beautifully. then I practiced when I got to the valley to make it rise at close to sea level.
