Well, I did also read it was a stolen car. So, I’ll likely go back to my first reaction.....if it was a terrorist attack, it was a lousy one. They usually aim for large crowds. I think I had heard the car was full of explosives, but maybe that turned out to be untrue. I also heard there was an altercation before the car took off so fast.
Time will tell!

Chicken bones cause so much damage because they splinter apart, and you can imagine what having splinters in your belly might feel like!
When I had big dogs, I bought them the knuckle bones to chew on.
One of my dogs split a tooth on the beef shank bones.
Great idea about the dumpster for the garbage.
Since he needs it for his business, it’s a tax write off, too!

Thanksgiving dinner preparations so far:
the almond creampuffs
Portuguese sweet rolls and whole wheat cottage cheese rolls
mini pecan pies
mini pie crusts (sugar cookies), to be filled with apple pie filling and lemon meringue pie with without meringue
Here is the cream puffs recipe. the filling is a bit different - a combination of a pudding and whipped cream

That’s what they were watching for - they took a few x-rays to see if the bones were dissolving or if they needed to operate to remove them.
I can’t imagine what the bill would be if they had to do surgery!

Judy could there have been chicken skin/fat mixed in with the bones in the garbage. If so it is more likely the fat that caused the problem.
I learned this when I was giving my dog chicken skin and the Vet told me not to do that anymore.
“When dogs eat fatty material they tend to get Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas). The clinical signs of pancreatitis are vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, lethargy, depression.”
I wouldn’t be giving them bones either.
“Cooked chicken bones can break and splinter, which can cause your dog to choke and can also puncture the gastrointestinal tract, or get caught in his throat. This is extremely painful to your dog and can potentially lead to death.”

That’s possible as well, Spunky. I know the x-rays were to keep an eye on the bones, but he was definitely in pain, lethargy, vomiting, and shaking non-stop. Poor guy. He’s a big dog. If I knew how to post pictures I’d post their wedding picture with the three dogs, all of them in the bow ties lol. Kind of cute.
