In an Assisted living you would get your meals furnished and your room cleaned and activities.
As you become more dependent on someone helping you they usually put you in a different area and charge more money.

I think I’m ready for one now. Except maybe I couldn’t have kittens?
They had numerous trips they went on, chartered a bus I think and went to several different states. But they also had dinner at Luby’s every wednesday. And had several shopping trips planned throughout the week. They even had a pretty little chapel on the grounds. My favorite part was the puzzle room. My grandfather was very social and my grandmother was not at all. So it was perfect for them, he went in the puzzle room and talked to everybody and she stayed home.
I know of a few people too, Spunky. They didn’t want to go into any facility, fought like heck, kids felt so awful and so guilty.....a few months later the kids had to book a visit because their family member who, in the past, had pined for them to visit, could barely find the time for them. Art lessons, shuffleboard, movies, cards, visiting other residents in the common areas......they hadn’t been so social in years.
I really liked watching Bones.

I can’t believe all these cookie stores that have popped up. $5:00 for a cookie. How can they stay in business?

Sometimes sitting here all alone I think it might be nice to live in one. Lots of things to do.
Even in the Assisted Living they let you have a pet. Just not as many as you have. :-)
