How does not using their app cost you more money?

Are you saying that the price on the app is cheaper ,than what’s posted on the menu board if you go to McDonald’s

In 1964 I could get a cheeseburger, fries and a coke for 35-40 cents, IIRC. Of course I was only making a dollar an hour. I worked at McDonalds.

Was it ever worth it in what way?

The food has always been so called junk food , so if you’re looking for something nutritious , it was never worth it.

We would have to calculate, adjusted for inflation, what those prices from 1964 would be nowadays.

I recall in the late 60’s - early 70’s riding my bike to McD’s and getting a cheeseburger, fries and a coke for under a buck.

I got a Double Cheeseburger bundle with small fry and large Iced Tea for 4.79 the other day. Living in the Midwest is better.

Went to Burger King recently after many years (6-7?) certainly pre-covid

$5 dollar Whopper meal

Whopper was dry and a little tough. Bun was very starchy. Overall much smaller than I remember.

Clearly, BK’s customers can’t afford the “old whopper” which would need a much higher price - so BK had to cheapen it, badly

In the 60's there was a chaing called Carrolls, they advertised a meal (burger, fries, drink) and change back from your dollar

Cursory review online, shows that $2 in 1974 is equivalent to $12.49 today.
