In 1964 I could get a cheeseburger, fries and a coke for 35-40 cents, IIRC. Of course I was only making a dollar an hour. I worked at McDonalds.
We would have to calculate, adjusted for inflation, what those prices from 1964 would be nowadays.
I recall in the late 60’s - early 70’s riding my bike to McD’s and getting a cheeseburger, fries and a coke for under a buck.
In the 60's there was a chaing called Carrolls, they advertised a meal (burger, fries, drink) and change back from your dollar

In 1971 (when I started working for McDonald’s), a cheeseburger, fries, and a Coke cost 60 cents. Minimum wage was $1.60/hr.
