Disney is delaying the release of its live-action Snow White movie by a year for a major overhaul, after star Rachel Zegler sparked anger with a tirade of woke fury.
Walt Disney announced the delay on Friday. The firm cited the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike as the major reason behind the decision - but cynics point to upcoming reshoots as proof Disney bosses fear they've made a $330 million turkey.
Zegler, who plays the title role, also mired the movie in controversy by alleging the 1937 source material was creepy and vowing to ensure the remake was more progressive.

That’s pretty much the treatment Snow White got in 2012 with “Mirror Mirror” which also had better talent: Julia Roberts, Lilly Collins, Armie Hammer, and Nathan Lane.
Delivered with action, humor, and minimal PC BS.
Wouldn’t it have been easier to rename the film...

Nerdrotic is the most acute commentator on the strikes that I’ve seen. I recommend his updates on that subject to any freeper who wants to follow how the streamers are completely destroying Hollywood as they try to salvage an unsustainable business model.

Those idiots wouldn’t know a turkey if it bit them in the butt. If you want an idea as to how stupid these people are, consider the movie “Wild, Wild West”. If you saw it and wondered why there was a giant mechanical spider in it, it is because one of the producers believes that spiders are the scariest thing there is, and insisted on there being a monstrous spider (in this case mechanical) in the film.
But Disney shouldn’t worry, their Snow White reboot will probably win the Oscar for Best Picture, no matter how much of a turd it is. After all, “The Shape of Water” won Best Picture a few years back.

I have discovered that the companies I own stock in who are doing poorly have high ESG ratings. Some have a VP of diversity. To find out what’s what just type in the search engine the company name/ stock chart and ESG and/or diversity. After reading the company diversity or ESG policy click on the five-year stock price. You’ll find those companies with high ESG and diversity ratings have at best, mediocre performance. I’ve dumped every ESG stock.
Honeywell even talked about its environmental lending policies. That money is thrown down the toilet. It should have gone into growing the company. It was money stolen from the shareholders. Clearly these companies are violating their fiduciary responsibilities.
Mirror Mirror looks like a fun movie.
These classic stories have been reimagined, reinterpreted, and remade again and again.
In 1997, Snow White was a horror movie in Snow White: A Tale of Terror. Sigourney Weaver played the Wicked Stepmother, and she had her own take on the original story. She liked that the original Snow White was a brunette (as she is). I'm not offended.
Everyone is free to dislike Rachel Zegler for her comments. I don't understand the uproar, but maybe I missed something she said. Whatever. It's just Hollywood.

Exactly! Just like NFL linemen are not fairytale giants like in Jack and the Beanstalk.
They are dumping the 7 Portland hipsters and bringing in CGI dwarfs. They are not going to drop the woke BS. The cause is more important than million dollar losses. They are going to keep the “strong empowered Snow Woke embracing her truth who doesn’t need that stalker Prince Charming or any other man”.
