Harvard University employs about 1,352 full-time administrators for every 1,000 undergraduate students enrolled at the university, an analysis conducted by The College Fix found.
This is more than a nine percent increase from the 2013-14 school year, when there were 1,240 administrators per 1,000 students, according to the analysis, which used data provided by Harvard to the federal Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System.
During the 2021-22 school year, the most recent year for which data are available, Harvard had 10,120 full-time administrators and support staff on its payroll; in contrast, it had 3,899 full-time teaching and instructional staffers. The total number of undergrads that year was 7,483.

The gravy train.... What a wonderful ride....if you can get it.!
Private. Let them do what they want. The money? Who controls it is the problem.
And we used to joke about what jobs there would be for Black Studies majors. Women’s studies, gay studies and so on.
Undergrads at Harvard are just there for appearances.
Until I finally got my act together, it was worse than even that. It was…
Brainwashing is a tough business. You don't think Harvard and the rest of the universities in the U.S. have it easy, do you? Creating and graduating generation after generation of Marxist robots has taken almost 100 years of planning and execution.
BTW, the Communist Party USA was founded in NYC (235 W 23rd St) on September 1, 1919 (104 years ago). I used to live right around the corner on 22nd St.
Bloated Administrative Staffs is the Hallmark of today’s education system from pre-school to university graduate level.
here is the example I use.
In Florida we are paying about $20,000 per year per student for pre-school to 12th grade.
In Florida the maximum class size is 20 kids per classroom.
So we are spending $400,000 per year per classroom.
A teacher costs about $100,000 per year for salary and benefits.
So what is the other $300,000 per year per classroom spent on????
Administrative Bureauracy.
And after the Marxist dictatorship is installed in Washington (soon), it will start getting more financial assistance from the government.
May need some more fake Indians like Elizabeth (Pocahontas) Warren
So what?
This is just too insane to be true. How many graduate students are there that the bureaucracy “administrates” over?
“Too many chiefs and not enough Indians.................”
I get it. Universities provide the educational package, money insists on this provision. Counselors, staff, hotel services, accessibility etc... along with the pampering/educational opportunities there are also more than few never enforced assumptions of what amounts to good order.
All educational systems have either forgotten about good order. That would include discipline. However, that is what local law enforcement is tasked with and after charges are levied the University or school has the choice to remove the student from the campus and curriculum or c’est la vie! Such is life! I think, therefore I am!
That’s the only option in today’s “modern and complex society” (Alice’s restaurant)
Nope. Here in Louisiana, we have defined the typical useless government employee. EVERY governmental agency in the state is overrun with them. At all levels.
Sounds like the NHS...
It’s not just Louisiana. It’s been a common practice in Democrat controlled areas for well over a hundred years................
Those who can’t teach, administrate.
The Education area - Universities, High schools, elementary schools etc. is incredible inefficient.
With all the advancements in computerization, all companies practically eliminated administration. But in Universities, the number of administrators seems to be rising every year!
Since Administrators decide, where to spend or cut, they will assign themselves the bulk of money!
This needs radical change!
If “O’Bozo” got in and OUT, how tough could it br?
