A new study out of Norway is exactly what was needed to shut down the climate alarmists. Its findings show that man has not set fire to his home planet.
Right from the top, in the abstract not 10 lines into the study, the authors get to the point.
“Using theoretical arguments and statistical tests we find,” the researchers say, “that the effect of man-made CO2 emissions does not appear to be strong enough to cause systematic changes in the temperature fluctuations during the last 200 years.”
In other words, our words, the greenhouse effect is so weak that it should be sidelined as an argument.
From there, the bad news only gets worse for priests of the climate religion.
“Even if recent recorded temperature variations should turn out to deviate from previous variation patterns in a systematic way it is still a difficult challenge to establish how much of this change is due to increasing man-made emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases.”
The researchers, from Statistics Norway, the government’s official data agency, also address the apparent “high degree of consensus among many climate researchers that the temperature increase of the last decades is systematic (and partly man-made),” while noting that “is certainly the impression conveyed by the mass media.”
Of course the climate zealots won’t like the study. Well, they also won’t like another new paper, this one from University of Alabama in Hunstville climate scientists Roy Spencer and John Christy, who have submitted Urban Heat Island Effects in U.S. Summer Surface Temperature Data, 1880-2015 to a science journal.
They believe they have demonstrated “that, not only do the homogenized (‘adjusted’) dataset not correct for the effect of the urban heat island (UHI) on temperature trends, the adjusted data appear to have even stronger UHI signatures than in the raw (unadjusted) data.”
According to Spencer, “the bottom line is that an estimated 22% of the U.S. warming trend, 1895 to 2023, is due to localized UHI effects,” and that “the effect is much larger in urban locations.”
In other words, our words, the temperature record we’re expected to accept without question is a sham – an argument we’ve been making for more than 20 years.
Globull warming gave me the crabs. And now I have to worry about sand fleas?
I suspect that is why some scientists throw in the line “caused by global warming” into their proposals and discussions of their research. They think that it will give their proposal a higher score, making it more likely to be funded, even though “climate change” has nothing to do with their research. I don’t know that it actually changes their overall score, but they think it does.
I have never personally known a scientist who mentioned “global warming” or “climate change” in their grant proposals. I used to oversee at least a dozen research groups; I’ve read my fair share of proposals! Yes, science does get funded if the proposal that does not mention GW or CC is sound.
I doubt the left will give up the climate scam just because of this. It will roll on as long as it’s useful to the left getting power.
Sand flies, not fleas.
You can protect yourself since they are repelled by DEET (and maybe other insect repellants). Sand flies are most active starting at twilight and throughout the night, so that would be the best time to apply insect repellant before going outside.
[[, “that the effect of man-made CO2 emissions does not appear to be strong enough to cause systematic changes in the temperature fluctuations during the last 200 years.”]]
Gee, ya think? Been saying this since the begining of the hoax about “man-caused climate change”
Man’s co2 is approximately only 0.0036% of the atmosphere! There is no way 0.00136% of the atmosphere can cause gl9bal warming or cooling. Heck even the 0.04% total greenhouse gasses is owhere near enough to cause a blanket of co2 thick enough to prevent heat rsdiat8ng off the earth to escape.
Fill an oly,Pic sized pool with 100 degree water- then take water that is 110 degrees, fill 4 five gallon pails up, and dump that into the pool
What happens? Nothing significant! The 110 degree water almost immediately becomes 100 degree water because the volume of 100 degree water far outnumbers the 4 five gall9n pails of 110 degree water. The 110 degree water reaches equilibrium almost immediately because ther eis nowhere near enough 110 degree water to overpower the 100 degree water.
While, the analogy isn’t perfect, it does manage to show how rediculous the idea that 0.0036% of the atmosphere can cause global warming!
“The Latest On Global Warming Is … There Is No Global Warming”
I’m sure the Greeniacs will find some other cause to continue protesting instead of getting a job.

If you find one, make sure to check if it is male or female.
Water vapor is the largest “green house” effect our atmosphere has. Higher CO2 concentrations in the geologic record coincide with larger amounts of biomass present...
Unfortunate choice of words. The marginal effect of adding more CO2 can certainly be sidelined. However the green house effect overall is significant. Its mostly due to H2O.
Since global warming became a thing, over a trillion dollars have been spent on controlling atmospheric CO2. Hasn’t made a whit of difference.
Its adherents are neurotic and mentally ill. One only need read through these threads on Reddit to see what kind of nutjobs these people are.

There is no global warming, but Marxists are in control of the world, so it doesn’t matter.
Real Climate Scientologists are sobbing hysterically.
