I've been on FR long enough to remember when Brit Hume met with a number of notable Freepers (some who are no longer with us) and was quite gracious.

At that time, Brit Hume was very Conservative, very pro-Conservative and did an excellent job on Fox News.

What a shame at what he's become.

Hume was ABC New's Capitol Hill correspondent for many years before moving to Fox News. He was the "gravitas" that Fox hired away from the networks when it first started.

His speech was canned, scripted, put on cheat sheets on the podium and teleprompters, printed on the cards he hold for when he looks down, etc.

He is dragged out of bed around 4 p.m., given a bath, fed some pudding and Pablum, drugged up, dressed in a suit, guided to the podium, hair combed, teeth inserted, and given off-screen signals as to when he should start and stop talking.

Yeah right. Great speech.
