Again, I'll remind you that in WWII we defeated the world's worst mass-murdering dictators by, at least in part, allying with the world's second worst mass-murdering dictator, Joseph Stalin.
So, if it happens that Soros for once was on the good side, then so be it.
That does not make him any less evil in his other operations, any more than Stalin on our side in WWII made Stalin any less evil in everything else he did.
For relative context, 3-million Ukrainians was at least 10% of it's entire population, so equivalent in American terms to now 33-million Americans starved by official government policy.
So there's no reason why any Ukrainian should ever want to submit to any type of Russian rule ever again.
An obvious case of you projecting your own mental chaos onto someone else.
It means nothing except that you have no serious facts or argument to present and so resort to crazy name-calling.
You are not a "well respected poster", by your own confession, you are a raging fascist lunatic, with nothing to present except ludicrous insults and threats.
But, I've only been here about 20 years now, so what do I know?
So Soros and his NGOs aren't a danger to America?
And yet again you openly confess yourself to be not a traditional Free Republic constitutional conservative, but rather a raging fascist lunatic, unfit for civilized conversation or company.
The US Constitution has endured for 235 years now because always there were enough loyal citizens to defend it in its hours of greatest threats, most notably, from Confederate Democrats in the US Civil War.
Today's threats from Democrats are indeed serious, but they are not on the level of the 1860s, and should not require such violence to defeat.
Today's threats do require strong leaders with strong supporters, which we are unlikely to see so long as a large number of alleged "conservatives" are calling for the violent overthrow of the US Constitution.
It means that, by definition, you are no longer conservative.
Ukrainians can do whatever they want. I object to Americans like you pimping for foreign wars, wars you will make sure you and your progeny will never fight in.
Who on earth would model themselves after someone like you? You might represent 10-15% of the American population, and at best, 30% (+/-) of tFR.
From the Berliner Zeitung -- a communist East German, meaning Russian, propaganda organ.
Nothing from the Berliner Zeitung should be accepted at face value.
Every report we have from Ukraine itself says that Ukrainians are highly motivated to fight and defend their country from Vlad the Invader's armies of mass murdering, raping and kidnapping troops.
Who on earth would model themselves after someone like you? You might represent 10-15% of the American population, and at best, 30% (+/-) of tFR.
When I look around at the current state of the country, and then listen to conservatives like you clamoring for more spending on foreign wars, I think that it won’t be long before the American Empire collapses, and for that I’m grateful.
Whether I'm a well-respected poster is for others to decide. But your above description is precisely what you are. A raving lunatic with nothing to contribute. You could start a poll and ask which one of us is more well respected. I don't think you'd do that, because you know how it would turn out.
"But, I've only been here about 20 years now, so what do I know?"
Absolutely nothing, as you bitterly cling to your Socialist (and even Communist) sympathies. Even your insults are hackneyed and banal. Nothing more than just a typical fascist thug-troll found on any left-wing forum. :-)
Fun fact, Brother Joke: The Founding Fathers committed "illegal revolution" against the King of England in order to found our government. One even expected/demanded the Tree of Liberty to be replenished from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants, which would be what you would call an "illegal revolution" against those tyrants and tyranny we presently find ourselves under.
More like he represents 7% of the latter, and that would’ve been as of last year, before a lot of FReepers found out what Zelensky truly is.
“Fun fact, Brother Joke: The Founding Fathers committed “illegal revolution” against the King of England in order to found our government. “
Not only that. The original Articles of Confederation required unanimity of States to alter. When the 1790 Constitution was “ratified”, that didn’t happen.
Also, when the Shay’s Rebellion and the Whiskey Rebellion happened, elite propagandists like Sam Adams was furious that the rebels were eventually pardoned and wanted the Rebels all executed.
According to Adams, they had every right to rebel against the King. But there was no right to rebel against “The Will of the People”, or the “Republic”, and any such rebels should be put to death.
“A Tyranny, if you can keep it.”
The Roman Republic lasted about 500 years, the Western Roman Empire about another 500 years and the Eastern Roman Empire another 1,000 years beyond that.
The American constitutional republic is now 235 years, so by historical standards, we are still quite young.
The British Empire is said to have lasted about 400 years, beginning in the time of the Spanish Armada and ending with the transfer of Hong Kong to China in 1997.
It's peak period was roughly 100 years from Waterloo in 1815 to the beginning of WWI in 1914.
The USA has no serious empire, unless you count small territories like Samoa, Midway Atol or Puerto Rico.
Our one major conquest, the Philippines, was restored to independence after WWII.
The American "world order" or "Pax Americana" is a different matter.
It has nothing to do with "empire" and everything to do with voluntary alliances held together by economic and security interests.
The issue with "Pax Americana" today is whether it can continue successfully with less and less American contribution to it.
As of today, the outlook seems dubious, but nothing is yet cast in stone.
Sadly, we have been unable to repeal the First Law of Human Behavior, which is that weakness provokes attack by bad people, while strength deters war.
When we look weak, we can expect attacks and war, as indeed we are now seeing.
"Inherited nobility"??? W.T.F. ??
Is that where you hope to take Free Republic?
Seriously?
And as per usual, fieldmarshaldj, you are drinking Russian propaganda BS straight from the Kremlin's sewer pipe.
