The Problem With Climate Change Hysteria Is That It’s Always Wrong: Another apocalyptic article falls down in the face of historic records and actual facts
American Thinker ^ | 10/14/23 | Mark Adams

Posted on 10/14/2023 4:28:03 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

In August, The Hill, a climate-change-embracing publication, published an article by Glenn C. Altschuler, insisting that “Climate Deniers Are Entitled To Their Own Opinions But Not Their Own Facts.” When it comes to facts, though, who is really advancing his own facts about what’s going on with the Earth’s climate?

The article promises a brief summary of facts about climate change and its effect on the lives and livelihoods of all Americans.” Below, I’ve taken each of Altschuler’s “facts” and exposed them to actual facts.

CLAIM:

2023 is likely to be the hottest year on record, and possibly the hottest in 100,000 years.

To legitimatize this claim, the author states:

This summer, the temperature in Phoenix topped 110 degrees for 31 consecutive days, and failed to drop below 90 degrees for 16 consecutive days.

FACT:

Temperatures are not climate. The 1930s—long before global warming was dreamed up—registered some of the hottest temperatures on record. This headline is from 1934:

AMERICAN DROUGHT – DESTRUCTION OF CATTLE – HEAVY HUMAN DEATH TOLL

Texas cowboys are reportedly shooting 1,000 head of cattle daily to prevent sufferings from thirst.

And this describes events in Nebraska in 1934:

The early thirties were not good times for most Nebraskans. Aftershocks from the stock market crash had spread across the country, and the nation was in the grip of the Great Depression. However, in Adams County, it isn’t the economic depression that stands out in the memories of those who lived through 1934, but the drought, dust storms and heat.

The drought began in 1933 with Nebraska’s driest year in 57 years … For 18 consecutive days from July 8 through July 25, temperatures over 100 degrees were recorded. (Emphasis added.)

The world is currently coming out of an ice age and suffering from a CO2 drought.

It is irrelevant that Lefties are always wrong.

It's their INTENTIONS that matter.

And their INTENTIONS are always so much better than yours.

The “problem” is that is absolutely doesn’t matter right now (never did…but certainly don’t want to pretend any more than usual)

I don’t believe in the “climate crisis”, but while reading the Book of Revelation today, my commentary points out that when 1/3 of the oceans will be stricken, it will cause drought, and when 1/3 of trees and vegetation are destroyed, it will not only cause famine, but will reduce the available oxygen in the atmosphere. Of course, most of those left alive will say, “ I told you so!”.

Cool! Thanks. Enjoy the blissful ignorance! (Sorry…probably shouldn’t harsh on you, in general…my point is “climate change” is way low on a priority list compared to other events more critical)

In August, The Hill, a climate-change-embracing publication, published an article by Glenn C. Altschuler, insisting that “Climate Deniers Are Entitled To Their Own Opinions But Not Their Own Facts.”

If water vapor cannot be controlled by mankind, and water vapor is the cause of climate change, then mankind has nothing to do with climate change.

Water vapor accounts for 98.35% of all greenhouse gases, and 100% of climate change. Water vapor is a powerful greenhouse gas owing to the presence of the hydroxyl bond which strongly absorbs in the infra-red. The volume of water vapor in the atmosphere is more than a 100 times the volume of carbon dioxide, i.e. 354 cubic kilometers vs. 3.4 cubic kilometers for CO2.

The recent heat wave was caused by an unexpected plume of water vapor into our atmosphere.

The Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano  erupted  underwater in the South Pacific Ocean on January 15, 2022, and blasted an enormous plume of water vapor into Earth’s stratosphere, increasing the volume of water vapor by 10 to 30%. It may take five years for the heating effect to dissipate.

The 10% increase in the volume of water vapor produced by the eruption alone, is more than ten times the total volume of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Both water vapor and carbon dioxide are powerful greenhouse gases. It is nothing more than alchemy that our scientists and funding politicians have been trying (and failing) to somehow connect a miniscule volume of carbon dioxide to climate change.

Their claims and policies will kill us all! The IPCC and others have been pushing this bad assumption for fifty years with many erroneous predictions (poles are going to melt, NYC underwater, we are all going to die), billions spent, and no meaningful results.

To me, it is more pleasing to the mind to identify the primary actor and cause of climate change as water vapor interacting with the Sun (sunspots, solar flares, etc.), aerosols, and the oceans.

Y’all will love Joe Bastardi’s Saturday Summary (free—scroll down) at weatherbell.com

wish I could afford the service but his summary is EXCELLENT and understandable.

He is from the Philly area, a Christian, and tells the truth. Uses history and the knowledge of balance. :) If it gets hotter in one region, it will be colder in another and the ring of fire in the pacific is very influential.

Calls it like it is.

Behind the Wash Post paywall, coldest winter on record at the South Pole, 2021. Seldom (never) mentioned in alarmist analysis.

“South Pole posts most severe cold season on record, a surprise in a warming world
While the rest of the world sizzled, the South Pole shivered with an average temperature of minus-78 degrees over the past six months.

I posted this at Reddit climatechange and got -8 points <- minus

NYTimes article post:
“increasing evidence that global warming has accelerated over the past 15 years

My answer:
Has it gotten warmer in the states that have winter? No
Has the water level risen in the oceans? No

You can look at old photos of the coastlines around the world and you see nothing has changed. Look at the Statue of Liberty island and you can see the same water line. Same for Plymouth rock. Same for docks at seaports everywhere.
Water rises equally and not in one place.
I am sure the people who settled in Greenland wished it had stayed warm.
