Britain-based author and journalist Douglas Murray appeared on Talk TV and was asked whether Israel’s strikes in the Gaza Strip constitute a “reasonable, proportionate and moral response”.
Murray fired back, “There is some deep perversion in Britain whenever Israel is involved in a conflict, and it is the word you just used: Proportion, proportionate, proportionality. Only Britain is really obsessed with this. I’ve heard in for the last few days incessantly.”
“Proportionality in conflict rarely exists,” he stated, and then explained that insisting on a proportionate response “would mean that, in retaliation for what Hamas did in Israel on Saturday, Israel should try to locate a music festival in Gaza, for instance – and good luck with that – and rape precisely the number of women that Hamas raped on Saturday. Kill precisely the number of young people that Hamas killed on Saturday. They should find a town of exactly the same size as a town like Sderot, and make sure they go door-to-door and kill precisely the correct number of babies that Hamas killed in Sderot on Saturday, and shoot in the head precisely the same number of old age pensioners as were shot in Sderot on Saturday, just to choose one town…”

Israel will have to destroy Hamas. In order to do that, they’ll have to destroy Gaza. Destroying Northern part of Gaza including their “capital city” is a good start.

Man what a great point. The Left wants separate sets of rules for Israel and Palestinians.
There are many things wrapped up in this thinking (I believe)
- antisemitism by the Left
- The Left’s racist belief that Palestinians are not capable of civilized behavior and have to be given special accommodations.
- cowardice and fear of muslims when they are riled up.
Even if they wipe all of Hamas off of the face of the Earth, another group will express sympathy and replace them. Hezbollah, for instance.
With ideological zealots who are ignorant AF of regional and world history, you can bet it won’t take long.
Any Israeli response is called “perpetuating the cycle of violence.”
No but Hezbollah is backed by Syria. And Israel can go to war with Syria. Assad is easily recognizable. He has a lot to lose if Syria goes to war with Israel.
That’s right; Israel and the US. Everyone else? Bombs away to your heart’s content.

Anything less than total annihilation of Hamas is defeat on an installment plan.
Does proportionally include ripping open a pregnant women and killing her and her baby? Killing innocents in mass, rape and degradation? If proportionality exists from Israel Gaza will become a hell of horror. Israel does not do this. Hamas does do this. Kill the beast.
And always being told to use “Restraint”. Two words that should be out of the discussion now.

Every time someone calls for Israel to ease up, point out that that is what Putin wants. Then call them a Russian agent.
