Israel will have to destroy Hamas. In order to do that, they’ll have to destroy Gaza. Destroying Northern part of Gaza including their “capital city” is a good start.

Man what a great point. The Left wants separate sets of rules for Israel and Palestinians.
There are many things wrapped up in this thinking (I believe)
- antisemitism by the Left
- The Left’s racist belief that Palestinians are not capable of civilized behavior and have to be given special accommodations.
- cowardice and fear of muslims when they are riled up.
Any Israeli response is called “perpetuating the cycle of violence.”
That’s right; Israel and the US. Everyone else? Bombs away to your heart’s content.

Does proportionally include ripping open a pregnant women and killing her and her baby? Killing innocents in mass, rape and degradation? If proportionality exists from Israel Gaza will become a hell of horror. Israel does not do this. Hamas does do this. Kill the beast.
And always being told to use “Restraint”. Two words that should be out of the discussion now.

The Geneva Convention writers held powerful positions throughout the darkest times of our world. Their words synthesized a brutal, durable morality earned during the bloody deluges of the 20th century. They intended to isolate terrorist forces and allow destruction with any overwhelming furies needed to crush their abominations.
There is much misplaced anxiety for the loss of civilian lives in Gaza. The obvious reading of Articles 28 and 29 of the Fourth Geneva Convention says Hamas is responsible for any civilian deaths in the areas they occupy. Those civilians qualify as Protected Persons within the terrorist’s physical control and cannot be used to render certain points and areas immune from military operations.
So they want proportional response? Really? Killing grandmothers, raping men and women over dead bodies, cutting the heads off of babies with shovels and garden hoses? Really? I don’t believe that the Israelis can be that sadistic..
Your response to aggression should not be “proportionate”.
It should be sufficient that the aggressor will thereafter lose any interest in pissing you off again.
So if a Jew is shot in the leg by a terrorist he should only be allowed to respond with a shot in the terrorist leg who in response will likely shoot the Jew in the head and killing him thus denying the Jew a proportionate response.
