Minnesota Hit with Major Bird Flu Outbreak as Thanksgiving Approaches

Minnesota has been hit with a devastating bird flu outbreak as the state prepares to provide much of the nation with turkeys for Thanksgiving.

On Wednesday, officials announced Minnesota’s first major outbreak of bird flu in 2023.

Minnesota is America’s largest producer of turkeys.

State officials said Wednesday that a flock of 140,000 turkeys was killed at a Meeker County farm.

The cull was commenced to mitigate the further spread of the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), according to the Star Tribune.

HPAI, or bird flu, has seen a terrifying level of spread around the globe in the last few years.

Some 58 million birds were killed in 2022 thanks to ongoing outbreaks of the virus, the Tribune notes.

State veterinarian Dr. Brian Hoefs said turkey farmers are repeatedly battling bird flu outbreaks in Minnesota.

According to Dr. Hoefs, the most recent outbreak is the largest to hit the state all year.

“Unfortunately, HPAI seems to keep popping up during the seasonal migrations in Minnesota,” Hoefs said.

The outbreak and the resulting cull are causing concerns that turkey supplies and prices will be impacted in the run-up to Thanksgiving.

People are being urged to buy turkeys earlier to avoid disappointment.

Minnesota lost more than 4 million birds, mostly turkeys, to bird flu last year, according to the Minnesota Board of Animal Health.

Willmar-based Jennie-O Turkey Store and its suppliers were hit especially hard last year.

“It is, unfortunately, a global animal disease and we’re going to have to continue to manage it the very best we can,” Jennie-O President Steve Lykken said last month following an event at the company’s Montevideo operation.

“Biosecurity for us is tantamount in everything we do.”

There are at least 18 known subtypes of influenza viruses, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Many are continuing to spread out of control.

The rapid spread has led to some nations calling for the full vaccination of all poultry, according to MedicalXpress.

In April, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that at least one person had died after contracting H3N8 in China.

A study published back in May found that the H5N1 variant has undergone a “rapid evolution” since first being identified in 1996.

Multiple international agencies issued a warning in July about how quickly H5N1 is spreading.

The warnings suggest that it could be a risk to humans if it carries on as is.

In Chile, some 9,000 sea lions, penguins, otters, porpoises, and dolphins have reportedly died of bird flu since the start of 2023, MedicalXpress notes.

However, this figure has been called into question.

Today’s so called turkey produced on these large turkey farms are totally tasteless. I don’t know why anybody would want to eat one. The only flavor would be the ingredients you put on them.

I don’t care for the breast meat, but the dark meat and the giblets is delicious!................

I'm VERY OK with ham instead...hickory-smoked, honey-baked, spiral-sliced. Easy peasy.

Then, all I have to worry about is trichinosis.

Not a big fan of turkey either. To me...they’re kind of a garbage bird.

The only turkey I really enjoy is...sliced breast meat on white bread, slathered with Duke’s Mayo, salted and peppered. Throw some chips and pickles on the plate...yum. This usually happens the day AFTER Thanksgiving.

There’s a lot more to avian flu - it serves a purpose far beyond being an inconvenience.

https://www.news-medical.net/news/20230807/UKHSA-unveils-world-leading-Vaccine-Development-and-Evaluation-Centre.aspx (August 2023)

Avian flu is a worldwide phenomena. The UK’s Porton Down facility in Wiltshire, England continues its secretive work involving viruses, pathogens and disease, including H5N1. For all intents and purposes MI6 - the UK’s Secret Intelligence Services - continues to run the Porton Down facility. The details of work done at PD is not revealed, and the facility has a past involving the testing of chemical weapons - nerve gas - on thousands of unsuspecting human subjects. Its current iteration - as the forefront for vaccine research - is a whitewash. Nothing’s changed.

The research done at PD falls under the definition of Intelligence, specifically military intelligence. It may not be publicized, but various facilities doing research involving pathogenic disease of humans and animals - worldwide - is done, or subsidized, by military intelligence.

There’s not much of an argument for naturally-occurring “outbreaks.” Outbreaks now are set in motion and managed by intel. Those like avian flu, swine flu - all serve to either reduce the food supply, or provide grounds to vaccinate livestock and poultry, with the ultimate purpose of altering the naturally-occurring DNA of the animals we rely on for nourishment.

The richness of a plan like this, and it is a plan - is that the efforts taken to undermine human health - are done under the pretense of protecting human health!

This cannot be stressed enough: Genetic editing or altering of animals - or humans! - will provide the company, organization, legal entity that owns the patent for that altered/edited DNA - with legal rights regarding those animals/organisms.

Agriculture giants like Monsanto have been doing this for decades, creating genetically modified plant-based food. Under the guise of do-gooding - helping to prevent disease, the corporations that own the livestock and poultry supply now have justification to alter the DNA of living animals.

Military intel suggests an us vs. them scenario - an enemy to work against.

That would be, generally speaking, the human population.

“Our priority is always what is needed in the UK,” said Dr Bassam Hallis, the UKHSA’s Porton Down deputy director. “At the moment that’s H5N1, avian influenza – we need a [new] vaccine for humans.”

Drawing on the insights of his Uncle Sigmund – a relationship Bernays was always quick to mention – he developed an approach he dubbed “the engineering of consent.” He provided leaders the means to “control and regiment the masses according to our will without their knowing about it.” To do so, it was necessary to appeal not to the rational part of the mind, but the unconscious.

Our extended family broke away from the turkey tradition about 20 years ago. My brother and his wife took over hosting Thanksgiving back then and surprised everyone by having made a big, beautiful pork crown roast. No one complained that I ever heard about, and it’s been the Thanksgiving standard ever since.
