In fact if you live in a area where a handgun is not allowed and you are determined to follow the unconstitutional laws, which I understand who needs to be hassled by the police, you usually can open carry a rifle.
How much ammo you carry is up to you but no one ever said, "oh, I wish I had less ammo."
