Reno89519: "Blah, blah, blah.
Your propaganda is wasted effort.
Why don’t you simply just catch the next flight to Ukraine and sign up.
They need more canon fodder."

So you understand nothing and are just babbling nonsense?

I'm an old man now, but many years ago I did serve in the US Army, standing guard for three years in West Germany to prevent Vlad the Invader's old Soviets from doing there what they are now doing in Ukraine.

And it worked! We were strong enough then to create doubts in Russian minds about successfully invading western Europe, so Putin's old Soviets stayed put when we stood guard.

Ukraine is what must necessarily happen when we look weak, stupid and feckless in our leadership or military.
Bad people do bad things whenever we are not strong enough to defend ourselves or our allies.

Today the old "Axis of Evil" has invaded Ukraine and attacked Israel.
The CCP's Xi-snake is only in power there because of his promises to other Chi-Coms that he will end Taiwan's independence.
At some point, the Xi-snake will decide that we have grown weak, stupid & fearful enough, and his forces now strong enough, to successfully invade and conquer Taiwan.

It's not too late to prevent the triumph of insanity and evil, but first we must re-collect our wits and common sense and pull together as a united people with our united allies.

Well, you can go to Ukraine, they are recruiting seniors. Be sure to leave your US passport as we don’t need you crying to the US when you find yourself in trouble as a foreign combatant. Or, since you want, maybe send your retirement, donate your assets, whatever to Ukraine. BUT LEAVE THE US TAXPAYER OUT OF IT. NOT OUR WAR, NOT OUR CONCERN.

jmacusa: "Indeed. Why are the Robinson’s allowing this war mongering hag to keep doing this?"

Oh, come on, John, you know we're FRiends and friends, so please don't make personal insults against people whose only "crime", if any, is to love Ukrainians enough to want to help them defend themselves.

The only "war mongering hag" in this whole story is Vlad the Invader and his orcs & trolls invading or threatening his weaker neighbors, not just Ukraine, but many others too.

Everyone understands that our own administration is weak, stupid and corrupt, but at least in Ukraine they are supporting the right side against the Axis of Evil that has now opened up a second front in Israel and is just waiting for the right moment of our maximum weakness and fear to invade Taiwan.

Nothing good can happen while we are weak, stupid and corrupt, but at least we can help in Ukraine until a time of much improved US leadership can help end these wars and achieve peace through strength.

jmacusa: "Our southern border is more important."

Our southern border has nothing to do with Ukraine or with money.
The border today is not an accident or failure, it's the Democrats' policy and a great success for them!

If we sacrifice Ukraine for the sake of our southern border, or saving money, we will do nothing to improve the border or to save money.

Everything that's wrong in our country is not a failure, it's not accidental, it's not unintended.
It is all just the Democrats continuing their war against the United States, by one means or another since the very beginning.

Nothing good can happen to the United States until Democrats are 100% removed from positions of power here.

Ukraine has nothing to do with all that.

Reno89519: "{babble, babble nonsense}... BUT LEAVE THE US TAXPAYER OUT OF IT. NOT OUR WAR, NOT OUR CONCERN."

Since the end of World War II in 1945 the world has lived under a "Pax Americana", which some people mistakenly call "the American Empire".
But there's nothing "empire" about it, it is simply the USA and our allies imposing peace on countries which would otherwise be at constant warfare with each other.

Today the world's "Pax Americana" is under threat like never before and not because our enemies are so much stronger now, but rather because we have grown weak, stupid and corrupt.
And corruption always starts at the top, with our Democrats in power, willing to say and do anything to hold onto their power.

The innocent victims of our insanity are our friends and allies around the world, especially the most vulnerable, like Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

What we do anywhere affects their fates everywhere.

That's why Ukraine is our concern, and always will be.

Ukraine isn’t an ally and is not even in NATO. NATO and the EU don’t even want them. It is an ally with the Biden regime and the Globalists who seek to run the place forever. But that is primarily for uh...business reasons.

Blowhards scream and yell and get out of control as you do.

dforest: "Ukraine isn’t an ally and is not even in NATO.
NATO and the EU don’t even want them. "

Well, then you should personally go and speak to Vlad the Invader about that, because he says Ukraine is part of NATO and the EU and that's why he had to invade Ukraine!
Don't you see? Vlad has to stop NATO and the EU from expanding into Ukraine, even if it means killing every Ukrainian and half or Russians to do so.

So, if you now tell us that Ukraine is not our friend or ally, how utterly insane does that make Vlad the Invader?
He's trying to destroy another country -- and not just Ukraine either -- based on a mere figment of his own lunatic imagination?

And you want us to stand-by and do nothing?
Just like the French, Brits and Americans stood by and did nothing in 1936, when revanchists marched into the Rhineland (similar to Chechnya)?
And still did nothing to oppose them in 1938 from invading Austria (similar to Georgia)?
And still did nothing when they conquered and annexed Czechoslovakia in 1939 (like Crimea & Ukraine)?

Does that lesson from history not provide us with ample proof of what happens when good people stand by and let aggressive dictators bent on conquest have their way?

dforest: "It is an ally with the Biden regime and the Globalists who seek to run the place forever.
But that is primarily for uh...business reasons."

Since 1991 Ukraine has been more of a genuine democracy than any other former Soviet Union country outside the Baltics, certainly more so than "mother Russia" herself.

Since roughly 2004 Ukraine has tried to become more independent of "mother Russia" and more aligned with the EU.
Since the Russian invasion in 2014, Ukraine has also sought closer ties with NATO, for obvious reasons, and NATO has responded favorably.

The USA under Pres. O'bama sent blankets to Ukraine in 2014 after Russia's first invasion.
Under Pres. Trump we sent Ukraine highly lethal military weapons and after Vlad's 2022 2nd invasion, the O'Bidens upped the ante over what Trump had done.

If we go back to Bush II, he recommended Ukraine and Georgia join NATO and before that, Slick William Clinton helped negotiate the Budapest Agreement in 1994 guaranteeing Ukraine's independence and sovereignty in exchange for giving up their stockpile of nukes.

My point is: the USA has treated Ukraine as a friend and ally for at least 30 years, to include formally guaranteeing their security at Budapest in 1994.

Legally and morally we cannot walk away from Ukraine, or wash our hands of them, without breaking both formal and informal agreements with our friends in Ukraine.

I agree Joe that this is the Democrats plan. More people means more government.

As to Ukraine I'm sorry but old friend I'd have to disagree. Whether or not Putin and his "Nazi'' trope rings true today can be debated. There is no denying the Ukrainians were some of Hitler's most ruthless Jew killers. Babi Yar comes to mind. Over 37,000 Jews massacred in two days. Again I'm sorry but hese two peoples have been at each other's throats long before there was a Untied States and I fail to see how giving Zelensky access to the public treasury is in our best interest.

My apologies to you Joe but honestly I think this woman has been given the floor here and has taken over the spot light just a bit much with this call for bloodshed.

As I said these two countries don't need our help or even condemnation. They'd be doing this anyway just as they have been for centuries.

It's not our fight. We can't be everywhere.

As Clauswitz said “He who endeavors to defend everywhere defends nothing''.

jmacusa: "There is no denying the Ukrainians were some of Hitler's most ruthless Jew killers.
Babi Yar comes to mind.
Over 37,000 Jews massacred in two days."

The locked-in connection between Communists and Jews was hardwired into many brains of that time, based on harsh personal experiences, including the 1930s Holodomor in Ukraine in which Stalin's Communists killed an estimated 4 million Ukrainians.

I think it's fair to say there are only a handful of Ukrainians still alive today who participated in the Holocaust as perpetrators, but many who descend from Holocaust survivors, including Ukraine's President Zelenskyy.

jmacusa: "Again I'm sorry but hese two peoples have been at each other's throats long before there was a Untied States and I fail to see how giving Zelensky access to the public treasury is in our best interest."

I would not blame all Ukrainians for crimes committed by a few, any more than I'd blame... take your pick... Germans, Japanese, Russians, Chinese or Americans and on and on for crimes committed by a few of their (our) ancestors, unless they collectively try to defend those past crimes against humanity as somehow a good thing, as Vlad the Invader is now doing concerning Stalin.

The important reality today is that Vlad the Invader has deliberately and knowingly challenged the old "Pax Americana" since 1945 by invading his smaller neighbors, including Ukraine.
If such challenges go unanswered, they will soon enough result in ever more attacks on America's weakest and most vulnerable friends in the world, including Israel and Taiwan.

It's not just Ukraine, Vlad has also invaded Chechnya, Georgia and Moldova, while threatening virtually every country near Russia's borders, including:

  1. Azerbaijan (1990–1994);[1][2]
  2. Moldova (1992–present);
  3. Georgia (2004–present);
  4. Lithuania (2006);
  5. Estonia (2006–2007);
  6. Poland (2006–present);
  7. Belarus (2007);
  8. Ukraine (2014–present);
  9. Syria (2015–present);
  10. Turkey (2015–2016);
  11. Kazakhstan (2021–2022);[3] and
  12. Armenia (2022)[4] amongst others.[5]
By any measure, Vlad the Invader is a bad-actor whose aggressions will only feed on themselves until he is defeated and stopped.
Each victory he enjoys makes it that much more difficult to defeat him the next time.

So, it's not so much about Ukraine as it is about Russia and the new Axis of Evil, including Vlad the Invader, the CCP's Xi-snake, Little Kim and the Moola Mullahs.
If we accept defeat, we can well expect many more of them.

jmacusa: "As Clauswitz said “He who endeavors to defend everywhere defends nothing''."

Good quote, well said.

The bottom line is that all of this is the direct result of our own perceived weakness, stupidities and corruption, none of which would happen under Pres. Trump.

I believe Trump would have prevented it and can quickly end it, but in the meantime, we must suffer fools to lead us, so I would not sacrifice Ukrainians while we wait for hopefully much improved American leadership.

The new "Axis of Evil" is not a joke, it's real and will continue to defeat us until we stand strong against it.
That's the bottom line, no matter who is in charge in Washington, DC.
