Black tea is my favorite tea, but generally has fewer antioxidants than other forms.

Sugar, glucose, is the preferred fuel for the brain.
The body will also convert proteins, via gluconeogenesis, into glucose.
America isn’t disgustingly obese from grapefruit and banana consumption.
If you’re talking about soda etc, I agree.

But, in our house, we call it coffee.

Drinking tea instead of sugary soda is the key.
Doesn't matter what kind of tea, just don't add sugar.

Okay, since no one seems to know, I looked it up via Bing Chat-GPT.
Answer is important, because many here are getting it wrong:
****Dark tea, also known as post-fermented tea, is a class of tea that has undergone microbial fermentation, from several months to many years. This process often involves aging the tea in bamboo baskets, bamboo-leaf coverings, or in its original packaging. Many varieties of dark tea are purposely aged in humid environments to promote the growth of certain fungi.
Dark tea is often compressed into bricks or other shapes. Unlike other Chinese teas, the taste and aroma of dark tea get better with age, thus winning the favor of tea collectors and investors. The polyphenols present in dark tea make it an excellent choice for detox purposes, especially if you’re trying to recover from the effects of smoking and alcohol.
It’s worth noting that dark tea is different from what is referred to as black tea in English, which is called hongcha or “red tea” in Chinese.****

That McDonalds etc are huge.
People also used to move.
I wonder if the perpetual instant gratification mindset also has a role.
Internet and social media give many a frantic/lack of impulse control mindset.

When I arrive in Chicago in 1962 for my job, buses were used a lot. I took a bus everyday to work. One had to walk to the bus stop and then walk to your destination after getting off the bus. Now everybody drives in the suburbs. I did too after moving to Downers Grove.
