We have been denied access to our accounts at vanguard. A message telling us to call them, can’t call on weekends. Anyone else having trouble getting to their accounts??
Have you given them any reason to believe you are a member or supporter of Hamas?
No problem at present.
Good luck on Monday morning.
I realize you’re just joshin’, but that right there is one good reason many - worldwide - are looking to get away from American dollars.
On a long weekend? When I worked in banking this weekend was one of the weekends we would choose during the year to do major system upgrades because there was no banking done for three days. One day to update—two days to fix what the update screwed up.
Check again on Monday. Vanguard isn’t going anywhere, any time soon.
In/out as usual. Funds have declined considerably. Wait until this Israel thing washes through...
I’ve seen, more and more, banks etc. attempt to use a “digital signature” for whatever you’re logging in from to help identify you and if you use an “unrecognized device”, you have trouble logging in. Sometimes only increased requests for info like security questions.
If you use the same device, but use a VPN or proxy, you may net the same confusion on their part.
Use of VPN sometimes confuses my ISP. And web pages sometimes don’t load if it’s off. To get it going w/o the VPN again, I not only reset the connection but open a command window and issue ipconfig /flushdns to get it going.
I accessed my account; didn’t try to do any manipulation, though.
I couldn’t get through the two factor authentication.
I use the Norton VIP access application to access my mutual fund account. It is immediate and extremely easy to use.
My wish is that all my various financial applications would use the VIP or equivalent access method.
I get a message at my Fidelity that due to security upgrades (the platform I use) will no longer work with Windows 7, 8 or 8.1. They suggest an upgrade to at least Windows 10.
Weekend access can be problematic.
I got the same from my bank a while back.
“Have you given them any reason to believe you are a member or supporter of Hamas?”
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
You mean, “are you a Democrat?”?
Try Firefox Internet browser.
I just got in and moved up my stop sells as a result of yesterday’s market rise. No issues.
Sometimes I have to switch browsers.
However, Vanguard has had problems all week, I had to do some trades via the phone. Very odd, a company of that scale shouldn't have issues. TD Ameritrade, no problem.
“I get a message at my Fidelity that due to security upgrades (the platform I use) will no longer work with Windows 7, 8 or 8.1. They suggest an upgrade to at least Windows 10.”
There is no legitimate reason for this at all. Browser maybe but not OS.
This is when I would call them and tell them I am going to take my business elsewhere.
