Former New England Patriot Russ Francis and an expert on aviation safety were killed in a plane crash Sunday at Lake Placid Airport.
The Adirondack Enterprise reported Francis, who recently purchased the Lake Placid Airways scenic tour business, was one of the two people on board the plane when it crashed at 4:09 p.m. The Patriots confirmed his death Monday.

And then was subjected to big time DoD lies, coverups and other BS in death. I’ve seen it with my own eyes too.
He would have crashed harder if he wasn’t vaxxed.
kirialdl-nice post-Sept. 19, 2018. Here’s one line: “He is currently exhilarated about the 49ers’ 2018 season.”
“And Francis still loves the 49ers. He’s excited about quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo”
Goroppolo then tore his ACL 4 days later. Same with Nick Bosa.
The excitement came in the 2019 season.
Levi-my bad. I read the whole book and quit on the movie half way through. Couldn’t stomach the ending and how they should have aborted their mission when discovered by goat herders. It’s not in the DNA of any Navy Seal.
Lake Placid? Did he die in the crash or did the gators get him?

May be he was covid vaccinated.
Francis was a good guy. Good autograph signer and very approachable. I have one. Was at his peak in the late seventies with the Patriot’s. He was all pro. Played on that absolutely fabulous 15-1 1984 49er team. They wrecked everybody and didn’t even have Jerry Rice yet.
A Republican to boot. God bless him and receive him. Thank you, Russ.
Carl Banks, the unheralded linebacker for the Giants, played one of the best games you’ll ever see from a strong-side outside linebacker. He manhandled Russ Francis all afternoon and spent most of the game in the 49ers backfield.
I remember seeing him on an American Sportsman episode surfing in Morocco with some pro surers back in the 70’s.
Well, you sound properly boosted. Keep it up.
He was a professional wrestler before the NFL, as well. His father and brother were wrestlers as well. I grew up in Oregon, and watched them all on TV, at one time or another.
He was a great javelin thrower in HS and college at Oregon, as well. Even when in college, he was called an “all world” tight end.
That would be a “Booster booster” wouldn’t it?
Those little ole things can be deadly, too. :(
I grew up in Vancouver and watched him too
That’s a shame. He was one of a very few bright spots on the Pats back then.
A North Dakota senator and family died today in a plane crash to.
“Lake Placid? Did he die in the crash or did the gators get him?”
I’m thinking he was using the plane to trap the alligator. It’s been done before.
