Dubai is an amazing city. It Has One of the Most Diverse Populations in the World About 90% of the population in the entire UAE are expats and immigrants and most of these people live in Dubai. Combine that with the fact that there are about 70% more foreigners to locals and that makes it an incredibly diverse population.
Statistics show that 15% of the people in Dubai comprise locals, while foreigners represent the other 85% of the population. Most of the expatriates are from Sri Lanka and the Indian subcontinent.
Free Trade and offshoring killed the rust belt. A lot of blame is due for the economic blight caused by right wing greed. But hey, we all got cheap TV sets.
Please!

There are several pieces to the puzzle.
One easy fix is law and order—zero tolerance for crime, even petty crimes.
A crime free “rust belt” would lay the groundwork where economic growth would be doable—necessary though of course not sufficient.
You bet, it’s not just the Democrats, it’s the corrupt insider Republicans as well.
Trump was correct again, much of the world now laughs at the U.S., it’s a disrespected bankrupt spectacle, an embarrassment where the entire 3rd world has been allowed to turn America into a 3rd world flophouse filled with foreign nationals and illegals.
Those responsible should be hung.
The statistic cited here - 550 liters per person - does NOT refer to the actual quantity of water which passes through each person's lips (i.e., which is drunk).
Rather, it is the total quantity of water consumed (when irrigating golf courses, cleaning streets, filling swimming pools, watering livestock, etc.) divided by the number of inhabitants.
Regards,
A few miles off post was a small town that came to life during the summer. As the only Americans for 200 miles, we were the oddities. I have never seen a more concentrated group of newly divorced women, and they fell in love with my soldiers.
I made so many friends that summer, I’d make the 400 mile drive during long weekends my last two years in Germany. That summer exponentially improved my German, too.
I have toured Singapore. It is a mix of new and old. Dubai is on my list to visit. There is nothing old in Dubai. It is a brand new city built from scratch with unlimited funds.
It is an UNBELIEVABLE city....clean as a whistle!!
Yes, at age 20 I enrolled in masters degree program in engineering. I was the youngest student in master’s program. After graduation, in those days students were allowed to work 18 months maximum in their field of study. I was hired by a large manufacturing company in Chicago. When my 18 months were up, I gave my 2 weeks notice. The company talked me into staying longer and petitioned for my permanent visa. Because I liked my co-workers and bosses, I stayed. It was amazing success in manufacturing outfits for me, ending up as corporate manager of CAD/CAM.
They probably whip you in public if you litter there LOL
I’ve been to a lot of the world’s great cities, and America’s cities and AIRPORTS are the WORST! I’ve never been in a dirty, ugly foreign airport, but I sure have in the USA.
Singapore is SUPER CLEAN and BEAUTIFUL also!
That was quite the strange way to say yes, you moved here from India.
I can imagine with so many German men soldiers killed in WWII, American soldiers had to be in great demand.
It is strange your ancestors moved from Europe to a wilderness land occupied by native Americans.
Both are hot
Dubai 97 and 70%
Singapore 90 and 94% (New Orleans summer)
I had to wear suit in Singapore
It’s amazing though
The only airport I found to be worse than American airports was Manila in Philippines. And I have visited more than 50 countries.
It's obviously part of the plan to destroy the U.S. It's why they never had any intentions of securing our border from the 3rd world hordes. It's been wide open for decades, when it would only take 3 weeks to pretty much secure. The evil corrupt America hating globalist hoodwinked everyone.
That’s funny. I was recently checking out accommodations in Dubai, a month ahead of the present. Seemed very cheap. If you’re OK with dorm or hostel style space...$50 for a week (I’m not). A 2-room apartment with shared bath for $103. Nicer full apartment with rave reviews for $175-180. Overall...5300+ spaces are available from hostels to high-end towers. (I don’t do hostels after having my backpack stolen in one in Athens while backpacking thru Europe. So it’s gotta be a decent private accommodation.)
