But then I’m not nor have I ever been a liberal. Having both parents who actually fought in WW-II may have something to do with that. By ‘actually fought’ I mean just that. Dad was a Jug pilot (4 kills) and Mom was a signal corp motorcycle/sidecar driver in the S Pacific theatre. Both were acquainted with death first-hand. I am told it is sobering.
Hmm, I just had a Hate experience with Hey, Jude. Hasn’t got any better, better, better. It still sucks.
It was great when it was released. Took the world by storm.
It has suffered from overplay, like so many good songs that people just hate it from familiarity.
That said, at a live McCartney concert it is one of the highlights in person.
I guess I’m too old. I’m glad I never was interested in the trials and tribulation of these people.
