I just watched Maria Bartiromo’s interview with Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy. It’s pretty clear that McCarthy wants to avoid a shutdown at almost any cost. At first, I thought, “Yeah, we need to get rid of him,” but with whom are we going to replace him? Let’s face it, we’re stuck with McCarthy.
Below you’ll find a segment of the interview: [video at link]
Politics is the art of compromise. So, here’s my second, more rational proposal for Mr. McCarthy.
Give McCarthy a budget, any budget he wants, with three very specific caveats:
- Zero funding for the National Archives. If they won’t give up Biden’s pseudonymous emails, they will get no funding. Non-cooperation is not an option.
- Zero the budget for the Department of Energy. Granholm can destroy the American economy on her own dime.
- Zero the budget for the Department of Justice. If Garland wants to destroy all legal norms by prosecuting the leading opposition party candidate for president, he can do it pro bono.

- Zero out the Department of Education. They get no funding while pushing gender dysphoria and sexualizing children.
Don’t worry, a “deal” will get made at the last minute.
These stupid budget negotiations should be its own Broadway show.
Shut the bastard down until the Student Loan deadbeats start paying their bills!
Stop pretending we have some leverage...we don’t...that’s the way it is.
Shut down the Federal government —— PLEASE. With the exception of border security and military.
NO debt-ceiling increase, EVER.
Fed.gov spending is 25% of US GDP. They collect $4 trillion in taxes. Fed.gov should be FORCED to only spend what it can collect.
Debt spending is based on the fraud of Keynes, and in practice, is merely used for political corruption.
Shutting down the federal government is an excellent idea.
Too many conditions.
There is only one issue. The prosecutions of Trump. There will come a point where focus group testing indicates Trump wins if prosecutions persist.
It is at that point you will start to get Dem support for a funding of DOJ reduction.
But McCarthy will never go to war in support of anti Swamp policies.
Jim Jordan, matt gaetz...
Actually, the House can elect anyone to be the speaker, like (R) candidate Joe Kent. Joe has no experience in Congress; he would need a mentor, such as Trump, to direct him. Now, if both of them switch to the Constitution Party, and Trump becomes it's Presidential candidate, how many voters would follow and change their voter registrations to
(I) - Constitution before the next election? If it's over 1/3 of American voters, plus the (I)s that would vote Trump, it might prove impossible for the grifters in the Democrat and Republican parties to overcome.
Wouldn't it be great to start a new legislative year as a virtual Constitutional convention?
HUGE dittos to to the ZERO funding to the Department of Education.

Good suggestions for zero funding also.
—Zero out HUD. They want to turn the entire country into a ghetto.
My two kroons:
Zero funding for the Hunter Biden special prosecutor.
I’m open to zero funding Departments as mentioned above, especially Education.
Everything else gets scaled-back funding in proportion to the federal deficit. Whatever the deficit percentage is, cut spending by that amount, across the board.
Of course the above question is moot since Repubs wouldn't dare to make such a move even with their House majority.
IIRC, Trump had a Repub majority in the House and Senate his first 2 years and barely got them to pass a non-penalty act regarding Obambicare. Trump got most of his and MAGA agenda done through Executive Orders, just like Biden reversed them with his E.O.'s.
See post #11 above. If we can get the majority of Congress to be (I), (D)(R) become irrelevant, except Minority leaders.
I think we all know the ending to this movie. Its not like we haven’t watched it 50 times before. But its necessary in order to make sure the public realizes the Congress is not going to save us.
