The strong rebuke should end the government’s commitment to “treatments” that make its bureaucrats money, but only if the American people wise up.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit issued a unanimous three-judge decision on September 1, 2023, holding that the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) overstepped its statutory authority by attempting to ban using ivermectin to treat COVID-19. In Apter v. Department of Health and Human Services, court concluded, “FDA is not a physician. It has authority to inform, announce, and apprise—but not to endorse, denounce, or advise.”
Writing for the three-judge panel, Circuit Judge Don R. Willett began the court’s opinion by citing the strident nature of the FDA’s opposition to ivermectin as a COVID-19 treatment. Willett opened his opinion as follows:
“You are not a horse.”
Or so the Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) alerted millions of Americans via social media, midway through the COVID-19 pandemic. The agency had discerned that some people were treating their symptoms using the animal version of a drug called ivermectin. FDA decided to target the practice via the “horse” message—and others like it. The messaging traveled widely across legacy and online media. Left unmentioned in most of that messaging: ivermectin also comes in a human version. And while the human version of ivermectin is not FDA-approved to treat the coronavirus, some people were using it off-label for that purpose.
The case involved three physicians, Robert L. Apter, Mary Talley Bowden, and Paul E. Marik, each of whom jeopardized his or her professional career by prescribing ivermectin for COVID-19 in defiance of the FDA warnings. Apter and Bowden claim to have treated or consulted more than 9,000 COVID-19 patients, with each experiencing a 99 percent survival rate, despite regularly prescribing them ivermectin off-label as a treatment.

Is Ivermectin readily available OTC in Tennessee? I know they passed a law allowing in over a year ago. But is it widely actually available. I may be driving through TN in November, would be nice to stop at a pharmacy along my route and buy some. Believe it takes a consolation - do you have to be currently sick to buy it?

Not many people move to Texas for the weather. I suspect plenty of “carpet baggers” are right of center and sick of crime, high taxes and socialism from where they left.
The legal system is entirely to slow to allow for freedom to survive.
I decided early on not to take the vax. It was too new for me. My mom took it and had a small stroke. She took her second dose and had a bigger stroke. Died, but not from Covid.
I have heard directly from too many people that were hurt by it. I bought a few tubes of horse paste and started taking it monthly per proper dosing until I found human IVM. I never got Covid but I know people that did and the IVM helped.
I have since come to the conclusion that a lot of health professionals are trying to eliminate us by following the governments demands either because they were forced or they really believe the lies.
I trust supplements more because they are NOT usually approved by the FDA.
Ivermectin is a protease inhibitor and, as such, moderately effective on Covid, just like the expensive new drugs that were much more dangerous.
The issue is the “emergency” rules permitting the expensive and experimental drugs could not be issued if an existing drug was even moderately effective.
That’s the entirety of the issue.

You are 100% right on that. I read about that too. I still think they knew how dangerous the vax was and pushed it for that reason. Money was the main reason. Killing people was a benefit.
FDA directors did not want to lose their under the table income from big drug producers.

I din't think the FDA really cares. But it does call into question the EUA under which the jab was forced on the public, not to mention the 'mandates'.
Oh, and they also needed to screw up the election. They had a lot of reasons.

Look at it from the viewpoint of the Left: If Covid is mostly taking out their enemies (MAGA types), then what’s the downside for leaving it untreated?
...be interesting to find out that Congress and other ‘important people’ were taking Ivermectin the entire time the virus was out there.

Just look at the metro areas of Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and, the big one, Houston. All run by big dems.
I lived in Atlanta for about 15 years in the 80s and whoever would have thought that GA (mostly Atlanta) would vote for Biden and have two dem Senators -- ever?
You can argue that the elections were rigged -- and I would not disagree. BUT, they were close enough that they could be rigged.
Other high-in-migration states tell some of the same story. VA, NC -- maybe even FL that seems to be holding for the moment.
We'll see.
The 5th circuit should,have ruled on this 3 years ago! BEFORE 10’s of 1000’s died needlessly!

which a great many people are dead- having died alone, not able to see their loved ones, isolated, put on breathing tunes, only to rapidly die as a result.
May the courts allow lawsuits to compensate a great many families who suffered tremendously because of the lies of the gov.
They knew the vax was more dangerous than Covid, for most. I noticed that they were mad when so many Maga’s refused to take the vax. Most are just stupid and refused to see it. I remember so many libs frothing at the mouth because stupid Maga’s wouldn’t take the vax. So, they either knew the vax was more dangerous than Covid or they feared Covid so much they thought we would spread it to them. Didn’t happen. Almost everybody in my family that did take the vax have had Covid at least three times since taking it.
I don’t know what they did but whatever it was, I hope the truth sees the light of day where it can’t be denied.
After watching the government try to mandate and force people to take it, my spidey senses told me not to do it. If the government is trying that hard to make people take it, it’s the wrong thing to do. Maybe not so much decades ago but now? Not doing it.
