In the West, those with the money define the laws and policies or government agencies. Ukraine has been a place where western firms have been investing for years, where the influence of foreign governments has been increasing for years. To the point where we decide who comes to office in that country. And when Biden got elected, not only did he make big pharma happy by reversing the Trump era prescription drug cost controls, not only did he make big tech happy by ending any talk of breaking up monopolies or tariffs on trade with China where all their crap is manufactured, he also made industry and financial institutions investing in Ukraine happy by promising to bring Ukraine into NATO.
