ATLANTA - A Delta pilot allegedly had to make an emergency landing back to the origin city when a passenger's loose bowels resulted in diarrhea all the way through the plane. A supposed snippet of the pilot's call was shared on social media.
Delta Flight 194 was on its way from Atlanta to Barcelona Friday evening. The group left Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport just before 8:30 p.m.
FlightAware shows the typically eight to nine hour flight ended six hours early. They were back on the ground by 10:40 p.m.
"It's just a biohazard issue," the pilot could be heard saying over the radio in the snippet. "We've had a passenger who had diarrhea all throughout the airplane, so they want us to come back to Atlanta."

A Delta Airlines Airbus A350 turned around back to Atlanta Friday night because of diarrhea throughout the airplane from a passenger and it’s a biohazard. 👀🥴
The FAA flight strip for DL194 was posted to Reddit (📷xStang05x) Also a passenger posted here asking why her son’s flight was turning around. Audio via http://LiveATC.net and ADS-B data from @ADSBex

Delta did not confirm the diarrhea detail, but issued the following statement to FOX 5:
"Delta flight 194 from Atlanta to Barcelona returned to Atlanta following an onboard medical issue. Our teams worked as quickly and safely as possible to get our customers to their final destination. We sincerely apologize to our customers for the delay and inconvenience to their travel plans."
Will they expect the next load of passengers to sit in it after a quick wipe-down?
grody to the max!! LOL
My beloved husband...who is no longer with us....suffered from seizures due to a brain infection.
Part of this was seizures which were awful, as you might imagine, but to husband, his diarrhea was the worst.
One time he had a horrible seizure and had diarrhea all over the place. He phoned me up that morning, as he was in the hospital and I visited.
Husband was sobbing beside himself. I cried too. He was so humiliated although most involved knew he had no control over the situation.
But goodness he hurt as they had to bring a team of cleaners in to get it all clean.
I imagine that guy who pooped all over the place had no control either.
But it was an awful experience for husband.
Same thing happened to my mother in the last stages of cancer................
Was catching a flight from SEA to DFW once. Was in first class. Had a mixed drink as did the guy sitting next to me. Somewhere over CO the guys eyes rolled back in his head and he started foaming at the mouth. I pushed the CALL button and the stewardess came back and looked at me. I pointed at the guy next to me and said, “he’s not doing so well”.
She started checking his vitals and the captain called for a doctor. A young woman wearing Army bdu’s and a guy in a suit came up to help. We had to pick him up out of the seat, me pulling up on the back of his belt and the others lifting what they could. Got him on the floor and they went to work on him. He was breathing so they kept him on the floor. The captain declared an inflight emergency and we came to DFW in a hurry. Guy walked off the plane when we got to the gate. Only emergency episode I’ve had flying commercial for 35 years.
Now crazy episodes are another story….
Thay was a crappy flight alright.
I have heard of people faking heart attacks in restaurants to avoid paying the bill.
Once upon a time I shared a floatplane charter (lived in middle of nowhere) back to civilization with three other people. All four of us were going to town to get treatment for giardia. That was a very tense flight.
It’s one of only two floatplane trips I’ve been on where the pilot said ‘to heck with fuel economy/engine wear’ and pushed the plane as fast as it could safely go.
(We made it without incident, but only just barely)
I did my mom a favor & went on a tour bus trip with her (NEVER again!). We were going to a city about 2.5 hours away to see some sights of interest to tourists. We got on the interstate & hit morning traffic ... creeping along or at a standstill. I was on the aisle & diagonally across the aisle in front of me, the woman sitting there started throwing up. We were scrounging barf bags for her & extras to double bag so nothing leaked. At the first stop, I got the bus driver to give me a handful more. Fortunately, no throwing up on the way home.
On one flight the passenger right behind me puked while we were taxiing out for takeoff.
My wife, a retired RN, and I had two consecutive flights where she was called on to help. One, we were on our way to Japan, out in the middle of the Pacific. After that we were nervous to get on any more flights. “is there a doctor or nurse aboard?”
BFLR
Probably one of Bidenskyyyyy’s RAT hacks.
Alaska?......................
Mexican restaurant in the secured section of the airport, just lost its lease.
What another flying nightmare. People might consider not getting on an airplane if they are sick. Maybe?
He should have worn a mask.
A big one, on the other end.
What? we have to wipe it down, it’ll dry.
