The dos and do not dos of flying this Labor Day Weekend (or any day really)
Flying suck now. It’s a nightmare, and it’s only gotten worse since the plague times. It seems some of us have forgotten what it means to be or behave like a person — a normal, decent person. Or maybe the monster was always lurking there, just under the surface. Who knew one delayed flight was all it took to make someone snap?
Some of us have forgotten basic flying decency. Ahead of yet another chaotic travel event, with 14 million passengers taking to the skies for this glorious three day weekend brought to you by unions (you’re welcome), we are here to help. Much of this won’t apply for business or first class passengers, but that’s OK. Folks used to traveling like that are already used to following a completely different set of rules than the rest of us.
Dude, she’s a babe, not a dude. Check out her FR homepage. Kinda cool.

Nephew and grand niece were suppose to fly in this morning at 5 am from Colorado. Flight got canceled, now won’t be home until tomorrow night. She has less than a day to recover from jet lag and several time zone, before returning to school.

And rule #1 is why I now drive across country. Those lil flight crews and attendents have become lil nazis.
I’m old enough to recall when commercial flying was a pleasure. An expensive pleasure, but a pleasure nonetheless.
Thanks to societal breakdown and TSA a-hole rules, I haven’t flown in fifteen years.
You may select, but we decide what you will see.
Partly, because traveling is available to the masses now.
Previously, it was only for the wealthy.
Maybe you can buy your own Gulfstream jet?
About 5 or 6 years ago, we just started driving instead. I like being in my own car, my own rules and my own choices. So different than what cattle herding airports have become.
first time i flew, mom was still wearing gloves...
” druggies, mentally ill,”
See ...dinner and a show .... can’t beat that
hmmmm .... so your saying that only the wealthy can be polite and considerate of others ?
I have to say, that has not been my experience.
I think there may be factors beside income at play here ...
Folks from Southside Chicago and rural parts of Alabama did not fly on Pan Am back in the ‘50s. If they did, the customer experience would be different.
They’re doing their job to keep a hundred plus people from going nutz. Do as we say or you sit on the wing for the flight.
Drive it you can.
Didn’t want to point that out but thanks!
MIBs got to her. I believe what her initial gut instincts were telling her on the plane.
I would rather ride in the open back of a pick up truck—on dusty roads—for hundreds of miles—in a driving rainstorm...
than fly.
That and dont get on when folks are still trying to get off the dam elevator

Its also a bad thing
